  • Played this freaking thing for hours today. It will be mi-ee-yine soon!

  • how did politics get into the comments of an amp demo? How about talking about the amp for a change?

  • this amp is so expensive, but it really worths every dollar .

  • guys i know a amp with more gain and cheap ''Mingshi'' i played with one and they are fucking great

  • in my ta-30 if i went from normal cranked to top boost cranked the top boost would have blown my ear off

  • I agree, this is a fuckin Mesa, crank it and showcase the amp, nobody gives a shit about the les paul or the riffs, crank that motherfucker!

  • I want... I would glady sell my Mesa Roadking for that.

  • @axeshred Hey...where do you live. I would take you up on that!

  • What's the fuckin' point of making a demo of a tube amp at fuckin' LOW volume? Everybody knows that tube amps sounds way better at high volumes, I can even hear the picking on all guitarworld demos... Don't be a pussy, turn that volume up!!

  • @jcjunior86 he doesnt want to damage those delicate ears the soft cock

  • Sounds all the same, and if you play clean, forget it.... it looks cool though

  • American special HSS strat?

  • Comment removed

  • Doesn't sounds like Mesa

  • A poor demo. Does not showcase the true versatility of this head at all. Simply blasting a Les Paul through everything does no justice to the voicing variations available. The little clip insert with the Strat was nice, but went nowhere.

    1 star.

  • cool

  • i want to want this amp, but i just... don't.

  • I own a Transatlantic. Just like every other Mesa I have made the mistake of buying, it is completely undependable. Had mine for 1 week and it was right back to Mesa for repairs. I have owned 2 dual recs and 2 triple recs in the past that were just as equally bad with dependability. Not to mention the TA is still Mesa, so it has that "scooped" sound no matter what.

I own an Orange Rockerverb 50 (the older model) and its the BEST amp I have every had. WAy more versitile and dependable.

  • who said that epi`s custom les paul sounds bad

  • Roine Stolt is a tone freak. it's not suprising the amp sounds awesome.

  • Roine Stolt is a tone freak. no wonder it sounds awesome.

  • I'm between this or the Orange tiny terror any suggestions anyone

  • @Sean2592 get the mesa. trust me on this. it has far more features/is farrrrr more flexible and will hold its value.

  • @mikeymike4g63 Thanks man but i think i'm actually going the Dual Rectifier now i know its more dough but i seriously want that amp lol

  • @Sean2592 Hell yeah! The new dual rectifiers are QUITE versatile! lots of features other amps will never offer.

  • @mikeymike4g63 I've owned 5 Boogies in my life. 3 of which were rectifiers. Orange Rockerverb is WAY more versatile.

  • @doooder69 yeah im sure the orange rockerverb allows you to choose between tube rectification or diode, switchable negative feedback circuits, channel cloning, multiple gain structures per channel, multiple wattage modes per channel. yep that sounds like something orange is known for... features. Give me a break dude, even ORANGE owners wouldn't say something that stupid. You're an outcast.

  • @mikeymike4g63 calm down man, no need to get insulting here. Just giving my opinion like everyone else.

  • @mikeymike4g63 ps. but ya know those of us who can REALLY play guitar don't need all those bells and whistles :)

  • @doooder69 Just because your amp has features doesn't mean you can't play guitar. John Petrucci uses Mesa amps exclusively; for a while the most complex amp they had in their lineup (Roadking). Does this mean he can't play guitar? It's about choice and ease of use. It is a lot harder to get the sounds you want out of an amp that has less features. It's logistically impractical. You don't even own a Tiny Terror and you're telling people its more reliable than the TA. No one should listen to you.

  • @mikeymike4g63 how do you know I don't own a TT also? Now quit whining like a stuck bitch you little dick.

  • @doooder69 I like how no one was even talking to you and you just HAD to make your presence known. Be a little more mature... oh one look at your username shows how mature you are. Grow up.

  • @mikeymike4g63 your a contradicting ass. what are you 16 yrs old or something? loser.

  • @doooder69 Move it along troll. You know that Sean and I were talking about amps and no one was talking to you. Furthermore, you can clearly see I haven't been 16 for at LEAST 10 years.

  • @mikeymike4g63 I will agree that the expanded features on the Boogie are nice though, but the one feature that Mesa should readyy add is the one that makes YOU quit sounding like a fat cunt :)

  • @mikeymike4g63 and what does it help you? doesnt make the sound better! my engl has 1 eq for 4 channels, 2 gains, a presence and 2 master volumes, and it kicks the hell out of a dual rec! and it's even cheaper!

  • @givemeajackson engl is cheaper than mesa? i lol'd.

  • @mikeymike4g63 fireball: €1199. ritchie blackmore sig: €1198. dual rectifier: €2399. i would say engl IS cheaper than mesa. depending on where you live. i get an invader for less money than a recto. a special edition is cheaper than a roadking.

  • @givemeajackson maybe in britfag land.

  • @mikeymike4g63 aww, i so expected that. idiotic arguments, homophobic, gun maniac, insulting and patriot, all at the same time. you make the perfect american stereotype. and now you are butthurt as hell cause i said something against you enormously great and god-blessed land that never made mistakes... especially not in irak...

  • @givemeajackson super cool story bro. Those prices are britfag prices. Deal with it. Engl's are made in Germany, Mesa's are made in the United States.

As far as firearms go, you're fucking hellaciously mad that you can't own them. I have the right to self defense, you don't. Oh well. Enjoy carrying that bobby on your back because thats the only way you can ensure your personal safety in britain apparently. Better hit the gym if you're going to carry one. Oh wait they have no guns either. LOL!

  • @mikeymike4g63 hahahahaha, you dont even know where i am from. everything that doesnt speak english isnt part of the world, anit that your toughts (if you even have toughts and dont just believe what everyone tells you)? we can keep our army weapons. i think that's bullshit, but that's the way it is. and why do you have to have a gun to defense you? right, cause everyone around you has a gun! we have no need to carry arms. and how damn criminal is usa when you have to be scared of being shot?

  • @givemeajackson Super cool swiss story bro. You can't fire your weapons whenever you want. You have to get permission to shoot it. I know about swiss firearms laws. Criminals have guns. They do not obey the law. If you make stealing illegal do you think criminals will stop stealing? Oh wait.... stealing is already illegal. They're going to do it anyway. When you take firearms away from people who are not criminals, only the criminals remain armed. Get your head out of your ass retard.

  • @mikeymike4g63 aww, and he's paranoid too? c'mon how many criminals did you meet yet, huh? do you know a firend who has a friend who's friend saw one once from far? how many mafiosi run around in a farmer state like louisiana? get a therapy! from that i hear from you i get the impression almost every second person is a murder in america. ok, your last president is the murder of like 4 million people, but that doesnt count cause he's the president of godland...

  • @givemeajackson You are incredibly ignorant about the demographics of people who live in Louisiana. Know anything about New Orleans? Know anything about the south of the United States at all? Poverty breeds crime. Figure it out. You do realize that Obama has spent more money on war than Bush? Typical eurotrash. You all think the same. "It's so cool to hate America lololol". Your country is tiny and insignificant. Deal with it.

  • @mikeymike4g63 obama spent more money on war then bush? who was it to star the whole shit over there, huh? who gave the order to bomb irak without any reasons? obama had to bring it to an end, if bush didnt start it he didnt have to. the end of a war is always more expensive, cause it escaltes. everyone's hatig on obama, but he's just the poor guy who has to omehow fix the misery bush started! a word to our insignificance: 30 % of the worlds money is stored in switzerland. insignificant?

  • @givemeajackson yeah no one cares. get over it.

  • @givemeajackson

    ich mach's mal auf englisch:

so what about the law that was passed just now that the american military will be available to arrest anyone who is suspected to be connected with any terrorist organisation in any way and keep him under arrest as long as they want WORLDWIDE? seriousy, that is just despicable and will definitely be talked over. that is just not legitimate. and all under the close watch of obama's eyes?

  • @MParseface38 stimmt. eigentlich haben beide riesenmist gebaut. aber ich schätze obama hat da gar nicht allzuviel einfluss, das militär ist recht eigenständig und übt druck aus.

  • @Sean2592 If you still haven't decided remember this has two channels and the orange has shit for a clean sound

  • @Dids271 my Orange rockerverb 50 sounds amazing clean. I crank the gain channel up all the way and turn the gain knob to 40% and use my volume knob to on the guitar. sounds great

  • @Sean2592 Tiny Terror. Transatlantic has more "options" but the Orange is WAY more dependable. I own both. Transatlantic has been to Mesa 2 twice for repairs.

  • This is an amazing amp... I have been looking for a great lunchbox amp with killer tones. I have narrowed my search down to this one and the Ignater Tweeker. I know the Mesa is more, but man the versatility of this amp is killer!

  • @MrHeartofworship dont get the TA-15. Horrible design and not dependable at all.

  • Thats very interesting Future Boy, but you still look like Marty McFly, beard or not

  • does this thing have a clean channel?

  • i think it sounds good, but it's to expensive! with 1000$ there's a lot of good amps to buy.

  • @ctguy1955 There from the USA man dont worry lol

  • Comment removed

  • It's weird for me that Mesa/Boogie had the idea to develop the best and most versatile amplifier for practice and home use that users can choose instead of modeling digital amps yet forgot to put their trademark metal sound in it :O

  • why an epi?

  • I'm kinda new to amplifiers, why the need for the different wattage settings? what advantage does being able to select from different wattage bring?

  • @bumarse6667 at lower wattage its not as loud, and then it's easier to crank and get the good tone out of it :)

  • @bumarse6667 Low wattage is really nice for recording levels. You can still get that cranked sound without clipping your mic levels.

  • Absolutely fantastic amplifier........... what tone................ what flexibility

  • is that an open back.. cause it might be my new lunch box lol

  • what speaker cab was that?

  • Those custom epi lp's sound just as good if not better than the 799 stnd gib lp

  • his guitar is a transformer

  • Nice amp. Great demo. Basically I have Yellow Jackets in my 70W Bassman10. The description of this amp sounds as if there is a built in yellow jacket. Maybe, I should put a yellow jacket in my bedroom amp too!

  • @trenticle hmmm... might need to try those lol

  • love the shine on this guitar from all the polyurethane , although I hate gibsons mosty for the price and i find les paul shapes are unoriginal..but with the right stuff I'd have a blast playing this.

  • Comment removed

  • i like how he kinda played Shine by Collective Soul at 4:00 and so on

  • @7Stringerstinger it's awesome! But it cost veeeery much :(

  • \\m// (^_^) \\m//

  • @7Stringerstinger $900 at Guitar Center

  • @0:08 I've Heard This Riff Before...

  • @MrNeosantana me too. It's on a game called "thrilleville" i hate the game but my brother likes it so I hear the music often. That's almot the exact same riff.

  • pretty guitar!!!!!!

  • What's the song at 3:06?

  • This amp is far from new. In fact, the next line of them (TA-30) are about to be released in a few months.

  • Hey , want a little advice..

I play grunge like Nirvana, puddle of Mudd, Soundgarden and some of greenday and avril.....

I also wish to play Slipknot....

I am planning to buy a guitar...

i have around 1000 dollars which guiatr should i buy...

    Plz help me...

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 It's all about personal preference so just go to your nearest guitar shop and try out different guitars

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 ESP LTD-EC 1000 is a nice guitar around your budget, some Ibanez Prestige would also be a nice alternative. But, you can play music from those bands with a lot of guitars. It's all about the amp (and your fx). I'd probably upgrade your amp if you haven't. Hope this helped.

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 Nirvana and green day uses a lot of Fenders Strats, and a Strat does well the job for avril lavigne, but if you wanna do Slipknot I think you need a good distortion pedal with that guitar, you have to go to the shop and try different guitars and see what fits better in your hands and sound the best to you, a guitar is a very personal thing..

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 I have An Ibanez Prestige 1570 and that is a very playable and versatile guitar, it should have no problems with playing Avril or Slipknot :)

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 You should get a fat strat (stratocaster with humbuckers in bridge, which ends to be one of the most versatile guitars), also look at sg's from gibson.. in that price range my choice would be a fender jaguar (the ones with humbuckers), killer sounds, killer looks, and the grunge attitude :) you should be able to play slipknot too with a good amp or some good pedals

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 Ibanez guitars are the best in my opinion, but like cwilder01 said it's personal preference, just go try out some guitars out see what you like.

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 You should spend 100 dollars and buy a micro cube because that type of music doesn't require or deserve anything good.

  • @nezmaster1 are you talking about the music paul plays?

  • @gnrfanatic141414 No, the music the person I responded to listens to.

  • @ShubhamMishra1989 for that type of music i would get a les paul (get a gibson if you want to pay a lot for it, otherwise an epiphone for cheaper stuff.) and i would get an amp that has a heavy type sound. but your best bet is to just go to a guitar center and try them out

  • 3:13 has a lil bit of jamiroquais seven days in sunny june :)

  • He is so fucking lucky!!

  • Chuck Norris has a poster of Paul's beard in his room!

  • \\m// (>_<) \\m//

  • les paul...i love it!

  • Would this little amp work for metal?? I know other mesa models do.

  • @avenegedslaterfold If you use a decent OD pedal out front, it will do a credible metal sound on the Channel 2/Hi 2 setting.

  • @JohnFiaschetti Thanks for the feedback :)

  • the name makes up 90% of the cost :P still a great amp tho

  • "Brand New"

  • Great demo

  • hey this is paul from guitar world, today we're going to be looking at my beard

  • @ozdobby funny thing is... he shaved right before this video.... his beard grows faster then chuck norris's!!!!

  • I actually really dig that crunch distortion, and I'm no Mesa fan.

  • pause at 0:00

  • @ottozing is that supposed to look creepy? cause it does

  • $900? The FUCK???

  • MESA/BOOGIE.

    ITS 98723492378 dollars

    and 15 watts!

but wait theres more! it comes with a FREE Mesa/Boogie Badge!

  • I've got exactly the same guitar - Epiphone Les Paul Custom

  • Why does Gary look homeless?

  • @apophis135 because he's a musician

  • good practice amp but it's not quite powerful for me to play live, i use a 50 watt all tube amp

  • I wonder if the power level goes "OVER NINE THOUSAND!!" aswell? Maybe there's a secret switch for that!

  • damn this guys startin to look strung out :(

  • amp isnt worth it i say. it's a little too harsh/nazel sounding compared to the night train. Also, it's atleast double the cost.

  • @InFuriatedShadows That's what I love about it, haha

  • @SlappytheNinja, opinion is opinion :P

  • What is a Mesa Boogie? Just kidding....

  • Holding out for the Transatlantic TA-30 1x12 combo.

  • But it changed back @ 3:31

  • Why is he playing a cheap into an expensive amp?

  • @jezzer1969 to show you that you dont have to have an unbelievable guitar for the amp

  • @jezzer1969 An epiphone doesn't have to instantly be cheap..

  • @MrKokss Still, the amp is definitely worth 2x the cost of the guitar. Those amps are expensive!

  • @brodeur722 That's true, maybe he was trying to be realistic, because most people wouldn't be able to afford a Mesa AND an expensive guitar for their hobby? :p

  • @MrKokss I looked it up and the MA-15 is the least expensive head that Mesa Boogie makes. They were probably just trying to advertise how affordable it is.

  • i neeed that les paul to livee

  • Some guys do look better without trendy haircuts etc etc.

  • I want to fuck that guitar.

  • @traviscky2012 its just an epiphone :P

  • that sounds just abysmal.

  • NOW lets hear it on a metal setting

  • do you play in a band you are a great guitar player?

  • That sounds so crisp and clean! I want it :]

  • could you play EVH with this thing?

  • Oh yeah, I'm going to record my next album with a Epiphone, and an amp that sounds like it's being choked out by Chuck Norris.

  • les paul & mesa boogie = best

  • @Marcel3540

    But it's an Epiphone..

  • @MGWarrior95

    yep.. but a les paul

    but i mean

gibson les paul + mesa boogie RECTIFIER DUAL = more than best ! ;)

  • @Marcel3540 Its an Epiphone (know its made under Gibson but still......) ;-))

  • @mindcrazer

    have self 2 epis ! ;)

  • Great sounding bedroom amp. I think I'll wait for the Bugera Trirec to come out, it's supposed to sound like a Dual Rec. Great playing as usual Paul.

  • 3:06 he just ninjaswapped guitars instantly.

  • @OndskapensHersker well it is paul you're talking about

  • @OndskapensHersker

    and instantly back at 3:31

  • @OndskapensHersker

single coils do sound better on class a though..

  • Mesa Boogie's about to come out with the combo version and they NOW demo the head?

  • man i really do need a good practice amp too

    \\m// (O_O) \\m// temptation...

  • Mesa Boogie's about to come out with the combo version and they NOW demo the head?

  • overrated overpriced amp

  • @tokyosan1 Sorry, not this time. I just got done spending two hours in my Guitar Center going thru all the features and running it hard thru all it's paces, and I gotta say, I'm not easily impressed, and this thing MORE than impressed. Normally I would agree it is a gimmik and waste of money, not this time. As a matter of fact, I put it on layaway till i can get up the cash to buy it.

  • @smacman68 is it loud enough for a gig?

  • @joeyrotten101 Absolutly. On the 25w setting, hooked up to a 12" cab, it would easily do a nightclub or other small to medium venue. If it's a larger venue, your going to be miced up to a PA, so volume is irrelivent.

  • awesome.. Except the price :(

  • does the epiphone pay him to play that guitar?

  • I'm about to take this amp one hell of a picnic

  • boner
