I feel fortunate to have been born just in time to remember these performances, if only barely. One would think,with all the television networks on the air now, just one network would be devoted to airing, and maybe even reviving, the musical variety format in which collaborations like this were possible. Just wonderful.

what made these guys great was the joy they shared with each other and their audience. the hard work it took to make it look casual never showed. they had great voices and they truly loved to entertain us, and boy, did they entertain us. thanks for the memories. ed
