Mike Nichols ( great director that he is ) does the impossible and brings this superb theatrical stage production to Honored Justice on the cinema screen.
I love this show, and the Play is amazing too, but Its breaking my heart to analyze everything about it and look for a deeper meaning in it all with in my Literature class,
this was an awesome scene. it was an awesome movie but this scene had like extra awesome sauce on it. orgasmic. both mary louise parker and justin kirk were fantastic. i love their chemistry of sorts. i was so happy when they turned out to be main cast members of the tv series weeds. he shows up at her place in eps 4 and i nearly screamed. :D
life is good. this movie is good. this scene is good. period.
i can watch it over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again
I have to show this to my friends, they don't know what they're missing. I could watch this film over and over and over again and I would never get tired of it.
I know Angels in America won all the prizes, but it's still fucking underrated. The movies and shows that win all the prizes are usually "good but not great" ephemeral and political crap. This is eternal, and genius.
i believe the music at 4:30 is from the Cocteau movie Orpheus

"I usually say fuck the truth. But mostly the truth fucks you!" How great! Indeed. So true.

I love the way they talk, especially when Harper first sits down, like they've been friends forever. This is so fabulous on screen!
