  • I have almost as much fun listening to the crowd reaction as I do watching the stunts.

  • So proud to be British right now

  • The BEST aero team in the world, sadly we lost 2 this year :(

  • Another great pilot taken away too soon, RIP Red 5 8/11/2011 </3

  • no there will nine again next year :)

  • these guys are good but theres to many of them... if they had maybe 6 or 7 then they would be better..

  • @iiAnthonyy 9 makes it more exciting

  • @iiAnthonyy that makes no sense.

  • @iiAnthonyy what 9 is a perfect number for the formations and stunts they pull off

  • The Red Arrows ROCK! Long may they keep painting the skies.

  • R.I.P Jon Egging RED 4#, Simply amazing at what these pilots do.......PROUD TO BE BRITISH!

  • Sadly, Red 4 (Flt Leuitenant John Egging) died in a crash this afternoon at Bournemouth Air show. My thoughts go out to his family and the display team who have lost such a talented collegue. RIP Red 4

  • Just read "A Red Arrows pilot died today when his stricken jet crashed after he made a dramatic attempt to steer it away from nearby houses." Godspeed, brave lad

  • Nice job shooting this show, thanks for the memories!

  • Condolences to the pilot lost today at the Bournemouth Air Festival - RIP lad

  • @cdh88 I heard about the crash at Bournemouth

Is the pilot safe or was he killed ?

  • @ObsidionX - you are correct, my mistake - I assumed it was a fatal, hope like hell I am wrong and he was able to punch out....prayers sent their way.

  • @cdh88 I heard that there was an eyewitness that said the hawk exploded on impact with the river

Well at least he was rushed to hospital .. we'll see from then :/

  • @ObsidionX i'm afraid he died. :'(

  • @TheF16luva Yeah i saw sky news yesterday at night ..

I dont know why there are many people demanding to stop airshows once and for all ..

At least Jon Egging did remove danger from many side walkers,

    RIP Flight Lieutenant Jon Egging

Were gonna miss you Red 4 ..

  • glad the americans can enjoy some of the RAF's finest pilots and skills :)

  • the boston people in the video have no idea how precise the pilots are, and to them I say, Try flying a plane with 8 other guys with you

  • I'm so proud of our pilots

  • RAF the bes6t

  • 23:36 <== EPIC Reaction :)

  • @CharIiePresents Best Part :)

  • awesome

  • hope you Americans enjoyed this video and the Red Arrows! Them and the BBMF are about the only things that make us Brits proud of OUR Air Force, considering the state it's in at the moment!

  • lol same here, i was thinking about the hatrid between british and americans online.... but when i come to think about it.... i think the haters target videos like this to wind each other up.... in reality... i dont beleve i know any brits in person that have said bad about america .. i really beleve between americans and british.. the haters is a minority... not majority. i beleve most are friend not foe. p.s. sounded like america were giving us an epic welcome!! thanks!

  • @Snipes4Joy Im british and I love you yanks :)

  • Idk why almost all British people hate Americans and why Americans hate British people, Im american and I could care less.

  • @Snipes4Joy Not a clue mate, as a Brit who lived stateside briefly I found the people I met postively charming

  • @Snipes4Joy

I agree. On a side note- do most americans say "could care less?" We would say "couldn't care less" which I think makes more sense. I don't mean to be pedantic or picky- I'm just interested in our language differences.

  • @artspooner I would not say "most do" but yeah quite a bit do.

  • americas lucky were allies with the best air force in the world

    look out other countrys

  • 23:37...... i think that was an acceptable reaction :D

  • Great job on the camera. Thanks for sharing.

    µ

  • best in the world RAF

  • are you americans impressed ? because i am really proud to be british :)

  • To believe the current government want to cut the funding to these guys :-(

  • twice in one show... you really enjoyed yourself

  • i think you jizzed yourself at 13 22

  • @MrAaront703 And again at 23.39

  • And that is how it's done!

it's great to hear the enthusiasm of the crowd. It adds to the excitement of the video

    Thanks for posting!

  • watched them the other day at farnborough air show thes guy nd girls should be knighted !!

  • Shame Red 7 was a bit high for the Gypo break, not the best break ive seen live

  • Comment removed

  • true And The Best in The World.

  • gonna watch them tomorrow at sunderland international airshow iv seen them there every year for as long as i can remember, they never fail to entertain my heart pounds everytime i see em fly....

  • Can't wait to see these guys back at the Bournemouth Air Festival this year!!!!!!!

  • only British Polite could do somthing as skillful and as amazing as this

  • besides they stole alot of those moves from frecce tricolori like at 22:42 and 15:12 and also at 27:32

  • @coolyo366 bollocks, they don't have a 'white flag' formation

  • @coolyo366 go away, American troll

  • @coolyo366 i've seen both and they are totally different!

  • this guys are good but i like blue angels and thunderbirds more

  • @xxunkownxx96 Maybe, but those teams don't fly 9 ship formations, and that's what makes them "simply the best, of the best" , and the team flew those aircraft from RAF Scampton in Lincolnshire, England to North America, I believe they refueled in Iceland, Greenland and Labrador.

  • Argentina Flag!

  • Just the best of British!!!!! Gob smackingly brilliant, I hate that phrase but that's how these amazing pilots make me feel.

  • The best in the world without a doubt !

  • Pablo is back!!!!!! Sync leader expect some more awesome moves.

  • thumbs Up If you think airplanes FUCKING ROCK!

  • I had so much fun watching this display in person. I hope the 2008 Red Arrows team felt fight at home flying for us here in the USA and that they know how appreciated it was. thanks again gents.

  • What on Earth! A thirty minute-long video on YouTube? Well done for uploading it, thanks!

  • Get well soon Mike "Lingy" Ling

    Red 3 in this vid

  • 23:39 ha lol

  • Not all about fast flybys and airpower show offs. Suprised the russians don't arm their planes with nukes.

  • F18's My arse.

Good old hawks, all an airshow needs.

  • Great display by the Reds.

  • Good to see the ole Reds showin ya dont need loud noise and endless high speed passes to give a crowd a thrill :o) well done boys

  • Video i mean ! Got over excited !

  • Think the guy enjoyed the gypo break !! And who wouldnt ?! Great videao

  • @banoffee2001 lol yea thats one hell of an asesome maneuvre! really surprising.... well if u dont know it :)

  • flyerholland..cheers. No matter how many times i watch the gygo break...still makes the hairs on my neck rise

  • @banoffee2001 true true!

  • blue angels my arse

  • Eastbourne is a dump. Good for tennis and the lofty Beachy Head cliffs. BH is superb spot to see the Red Arrows. They fly over it at tree height during the annual air show.

  • wow the best in the buisness!!!!

  • there above my house right now EASTBOURNE

  • is that in sussex?

  • Rhode Island? - 'Is it in Sussex?' - you might want a map.

  • no eastbourne...

dont step into other peoples conversations

  • and now i have checked, eastbourne IS in sussex

  • If you read my comment properly, you would have noticed I thought you were talking about this video, in Rhode Island.

  • obviously...

    but i wasnt

  • Yeah, so any normal person would have said 'I wasn't talking about Rhode Island'.

    It's not hard.

  • ok well i said no eastbourne..

  • The Red arrows are awesome! Great video but i don't think the guy who made it should apologise for 'the annoying Boston idiots' It's their exuberant reactions to the Red Arrows that make the shows worthwhile, it's why the red Arrows do what they do. What's the point of them doing a show if the crowds only reaction is 'yea that was alright i suppose'!

  • WHATEVER ARE ALL BRAVE SOLDIERS. UK AND US ALL FIGHTERS tHAT WILL FIGHT - We are getting the worst know my brothers but will fight to the end

  • Thats typical americans for ya

  • PS. that bloke on the PA is irritating!! why do they do that?

  • a great video. nice camera work. i dont think ive ever seen such a long display in all the years ive seen them.

  • I'm not a fan but I saw the Red Arrows on holiday. They made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up, they were amazing ,the timing, everything about them. They make me very proud to be British!

  • I got buzzed by about 15 tornadoes followed by the red arrows just outside Oxford a few weeks ago, what a sight

  • Im so proud to be british..

  • "(especially the annoying Boston idiots you hear shouting profanities in the video, and for that, I apologize)."

    lol

  • That's what makes the U.S. great, man. We can cuss.. woot!

  • the Red Arrows are staying at Scampton

  • Comment removed

  • omg they rock !! 5/5

  • yeah he does say "dumb brits" but i think thats a compliment, bit like when we say "crazy americans" when you see something a little bit out there!!

Anyway the Reds have usually always been multi-national, with pilots from all over the globe, so dont take it the wrong way.

i think they only fly a couple of years with the arrows, must be great while it lasts!! im sure someone can let me know that, is it 3 years max???

  • Yes a 3 year tour each. Only Red1 the leader must have been a Red Arrows pilot in the past. Every leader must have flown with them. Jas Hawker who is Red 1 here used to be the Synchro Leader ( Red 6 ) in 200-2002

  • Thanks mate, do you the origin of the red arrows, why did thay start, and the reason??

  • In the 60's almost every fast jet RAF squadron had its own display formation. 2 of the most famous were the Red Pelicans and the Black Hawks. They were thinned down to have one display team for the entire RAF becoming the Red Arrows. There was also another squadron called the Yellow Jacks who used the Folland Gnat like the Red Arrows did. They were disbanded years before though.

  • Thanks for the info buddy, so did you run with the red arrows at any time?? sounds like you may have been part of that scene!

    Regards

    David

  • Sorry to pick your brain, do you have to run normal formation before you can be part of the syncro team?

  • no lol i was never a member of any team mate just a big fan thats all

  • you must be getting bored of me, were the pelicans, hawks and yellow jackets squadron names or just display names?

    Many Thanks

  • display names.

  • Red Pelicans(1962 _1964were Central Flying School display team based in Kemble Airbase

Yellowjacks(1964-1965) from display team Fourth Air School and the Hawks are No 4 Flying Training School at RAF Valley(now)

  • Awesome!

  • The Best Vid of the Red Arrows on the Net

    Well Done That Man

  • 23:39, awesome, I can't belive, very good show:)

  • Listen carefully to that guy at 8.37. Does he say "dumb Brits" ?

  • Sounds like it,nice guy

  • @Trancemad1984 Yeah thats exactly what he said. like to see him do it! lol

  • @Trancemad1984

Yes, and yet he was probably the one screaming like an excited big girl, once he saw how kick ass they were!

  • 23:39

i knew they would like that one lol

  • always feel proud to be british while watching them

  • yea i agree ! very nice video

  • Excellent video, not usually into this sort of thing but I enjoyed that lol.

  • Nice Very well done to Them

  • RAF are the best!

  • AWESOME!!!!!

  • YEAH!!!

  • Really great job.Well done.

  • great video

  • Great camera control. I like the commentry to , so you know what all of the formations are called. Nice work

  • Steve, i hope the reds appreciate what your doing 4 them - best advertisement ever!

  • Bloody good job chaps.

Greatest moment was the loop and barrel roll involving 22 jets during the 1958 Farnborough Airshow. This was a world record for the greatest number of aircraft looped in formation, and remains unbroken to this day.

  • Awesome...Simply awesome!

  • pretty cool i saw them on my das friends boat and was at the show early id have to say the could use a few more stunts but there rly awesome i could to meet the leader

  • This is the best Red Arrows video I've seen on here. Superb! The Reds are the best, makes you proud to be British when you see them!

  • Awesome camera work, The reds are thee most British thing we have, forget everything else. That made me proud to be British and for that i thank you :)

  • Great camera work there squire. Well done.

  • I went to that Airshow. Red Arrows were amazing. 23:37 was the best part. That was a great Manuver

  • im a big fan of the red arrows i live in belgium a specially i like the formations from big apple to short diamond en the syncro pair also red six en red zeven

  • i like the way that they change formation in full view and make the overall show one cohesive bubble. No other aerobatics teams in the world do it like the way the red arrows do it...but i'm not suggesting that it is a competition...RULE BRITANIA, over and out.

  • Nice, I'd like to see a Typhoon demo over here.

  • The Red Arrows are amazing! So good when you see them >=)

  • After they went over London for the oly handover they then flew direct to blackpool and landed there.

  • They were incredible at the Olympic Handover in London today!

    ^_-

  • yea they went over my house after the noise they make is amazing never get bored of it

  • I was about to mention, I live near rickmansworth, so we were under them when they flew back to land.

I don't quite know where they were landing though...

    :S

  • im proud to be british god save the queen

  • they make me proud to be british, i see them quite often, but they still take my breath away. hope you guys over the pond enjoy them as much as i

  • Amazing video Ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow thats more like it thats the full show

  • awesome show! 5S

  • Will the Red Arrows ever come to the Atlantic City Air Show? I wish they would.

  • i see them live everyweek, they practice above my city, they are based at RAF waddington about 10miles out of lincoln, same routines tho =(

  • theyre still based at scampton m8

  • ye i heard they were moving, they had the choice of RAF Waddington or RAF Leeming (fly there with cadets) and they chose RAF Waddington.

  • ive been to waddington to do a swimming award with the cadets and our summer camp is leeming

  • im speechless tht rocked off this hizzit

  • Now you Americans can see why they ARE the BEST in the world.

  • seen them live bro!!

they blow out the snowbirds, blue angels, and the thunderbirds out of the sky!!

  • Everytime my friend, they are the only good thing ever to come out of the UK.

  • What about Western civilization? The English language? Shakespeare? The Beatles? I'd say they were all pretty good things to come out of the UK.

  • What about modern democracy, english common law, trial by jury, habeas corpus, the English language? Just to name a few

  • WTF? lol.this is the red arrows nt a fucking debate about politics and democracy

  • Always brilliant, especially in the blue sky!

  • ummmm i gotta say imagine the blue angels and them together wouldnt u love it
