@hbboy561 We'll keep this in mind if we need to do this repair on one of these vehicles. If you remove all of the screws holding the door panel to the door, you should be able to remove the door panel with a door panel removal tool or a putty knife. Hope this helps you out.
Awesome video. This is the first time i ever didnt anything major on my car. i replaced my mirror within 30 mins. But i ran into a problem after fixing it. I can lock and unlock doors when key is not turned on. But once the key is turned on i cannot lock the doors. I'm talking about the power door locks..Any body know if i did anything wrong during this process
@Microbio888 We currently do not have an auto repair video on that particular vehicle. However you would need to remove any bezels or trim that may be bolted into the door frame, and then you should be able to remove any of the push pins on the backside of the door panel with a putty knife or door panel removal tool. Hope this helps.
Thanks for this video, really interesting. I have a 2002 Corolla (NZE120) which is exactly like this one. Was going to try it out cause one of the electric window is making noises when it's at the top part (shakes with bumps when on the top, even when closed). Mike, can you suggest anything re this problem? Driver's side is also like not going down in a straight manner, so it gets almost stuck and continues on its way down.
thanks I'm a 57yrs old lady and I hit my passenger mirror from the back not looking where I was going. When I found out I had to remove the panel I panicked another $200 bill for Toyota just spent 450 on new tires for 2005 corolla. I watched the video and said I can do this. Video was great step by step putty knife worked great on panel was afraid I would break clips didn't took a little time to put back panel but I did it. Had crank door handle removed with dishcloth great so proud of myself
can you order new clips? also replacing external door handle, how can you reach the bolt on the far side. There is door frame covering it and prevent a ratchet getting close.
@1aauto Is there a way of removing the panel if you cannot open the door? How do you remove the portion of the panel at the bottom where the clips are if the door will not unlock because something is broken inside? Thanks
@twinoak170 You could try to start from the side of the door panel, and once it's loose, work your way around the bottom of the door with your hand to remove the pins. Hope this helps out.1aauto.com
Don't forget to mention that after you break fasteners/clips you spend the next month trolling junkyards collecting clips so you can put your interior back together.
First off I'm going to guess that you are in the auto repair business.
Secondly, if you do break some clips, which does happen even to professional mechanics, why would you not go to your local Toyota dealer parts dept or auto parts store.
In my area, we have junkyards that have all the parts sorted and ready. All it takse is a phone call. They have most every thing that you need.

@sandeep1026 You may want to double check to see if the door lock connections were connected the right way.

Excellent video Mike. Do you remove a 2012 Camry door panel in the same way? Or if you do another video, that would be great. Much thanks!

DanzilF 2 months ago
@DanzilF You may want to take the door panel off to see if there are any guides on the window that can be adjusted.
1aauto 2 months ago
@1aauto Thanks, will try that :) Too bad you're not available in Malta! Do you ship parts to Malta anyway?
DanzilF 2 months ago
@DanzilF HI, we only ship in the USA.

do the clips snap back in place?
lwguy 10 months ago
@lwguy Yes, although if you remove and replace your panel too many times the clips may wear out and not hold well.
