Ok people are born gay and they don't turn out gay because they didn't have a father.

But even knowing that, I guess that Cabrerovxy's point was that without a "man's parent figure" on his childwood, Jim tried to find a man who loved him for what he was. His father didn't love him, so he tries to find it somewhere else, and he found Cale that loved him how he is.

So yes, maybe he was born like that, ormaybe he just wanted a man to love him, 'cause his father didn't.

Not having a dad in his life does not make a boy gay! My best friend has lived with his dad all his life, and he's a total flamer. That's the Freudian theory on homosexuality, which was disproved almost 50 years ago. Before you even try to go near this sort of issue, do your research and get you facts straight. People are born gay.

Also that's not to say that developing, growing, or choosing to be gay or lesbian or bi is bad! <3 =] I'm just saying don't go bashing part of the story line. It could quite literally be legit in many people's lives you know? ;]

It's not definitely nature or nurture. It's both. :/ I was BORN left handed but I do almost everything with my right because that's how I was taught. I was told that being left handed was bad and was punished till I used my right.

I STILL believe that most people that are gay or lesbian are born with it but that's not to say that some don't just develop, grow, or choose to be that way either. You can't just shove everyone into a box. :/ People are all unique you know?

@PaleLittleGirl1 You know what, this isn't true. As someone who lives in an area with a high gay population, this is just as ignorant as "There's no such thing as being born gay". There are many MANY reasons for why people are gay. You have those who are born, but you also have those whose circumstances lead them to becoming gay. It's difficult to explain in full, but all people have different reasons for how they rationalize something.
