  • The point was that I had downloaded the text for howl, but whoever had posted the text for HOWL didn't break the lines as Ginsberg wrote them. Ginsberg intended for each line to exhaust your breath, each line reaching its own crescendo. The text I was reading had random line breaks, which killed the rhythm Ginsberg intended and I expected. Without the rhythm and the crescendo, I read faster and faster, out of control...

  • the fact that you even know ginsberg makes this amazing and makes me love you :]

  • dude, did you watch this before you posted it?

  • Great to see young people are interested in beat poetry.

  • hate to be a critic, but that is the most awful choice of music to read Howl to.

  • I was going to read HOWL, but I couldn't find my Ginsberg book so I downloaded a copy from the net. Well, whoever posted it had reformatted the line breaks, thus altering the rhythm Ginsberg had intended. When I was reading it, I started to race out of control through the lines. That's why I added the music. It really isn't very good, because my intention was to show how important it is to honor a poets formatting and the consequences of changing it.

  • i shouldn't have left a negative comment in the first place. i apologize. just cause I like certain music, it doesn't follow that it's "Good" and everything else that doesn't fit my preferences is awful.

  • no so much

  • The background music is too much, it makes the words inaudible and makes it sound like you're mumbling.

  • Wow..ahead of his time ,huh?
