This type of music takes some getting used to. Try to just sit and listen to everything going on in the song. It's ridiculously layered. Every little sound has been carefully inserted into the song. I like to consider Venetian Snares to be someone who experiments with sounds, and pushes the boundaries of what one can consider "music." It's very interesting to me. Don't outright dismiss it. If you don't like it, that's fine but try to understand it first.

Actually this track sounds very clear, straight and planned to me.

You have a melody in the background (the one playing from the beginning) and drums in the foreground which seem to be distorted and messed up but are not. They fit perfectly in the measures. And that's what makes it so beautiful.

I dunno, I don't really find this all that 'random.' There's quite a bit of dissonance, but this is one of the last songs of his that I would call random. There's a loose rhythm to the whole song which remains pretty constant, with a lot of little melodies transitioning into each other. It kind of visualizes like a big gear with a lot of smaller ones rotating within it to me.
