@SolarUmbra all composed by me, all in my head, just feeling my way around the tune, i re interpret songs on the piano, there's no score, they are constantly shifting... check out my other works if you like, jameslerouge
@arapsasuga Hello, there is no sheet music, it's all interpreted by ear and in my head. That's the essence of my composing/improvisatory style. I may well compose a score for some one day though, check out my other works if you like,
Thank you, I may have a new live version of this up on you tube soon, plus more lerouge performances, from a recent concert!Just need to hear how they sound first!
Hello hollywoodisgood, i am also a huge FF fan, they blow me away on a daily basis, no joke, no album has had the impact on me like their debut did last year. And i tell you why this is, it's because i feel a close affinity to their musical harmonies, i feel my piano style is close to their vocal style, in a weird way.
wow ... that is gorgeous. you have a great ear and talent to interpret that song in such a pure way. Nothing overdone, nothing amiss. I miss my piano. might be pushing it ... but sheet music?! hehe
Hello Trudestar, you are not the first to ask for sheet music, please bear in mind this is all done by ear, and composed through my own raw inspiration. The manuscript will turn out a little different to this. But send me an email if you are interested in my lerouge version of this piece.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it, check out my own lerouge version of mykonos if you enjoyed this one. I will be doing another fleet foxes track on piano very soon too.
Thank you Andy, please do check out my other music uploaded on here if you want some soothing lerouge piano, many thanks, jameslerouge, also from england
This is amazing im speachless... If I were to want to learn to play the piano this would be the first piece I would want to learn and I have wanted to learn for a long time.
Dude this is frankly the most beautiful piano piece I have ever heard. Incredible...simply incredible. I have a question too, since it appears this is an actual composition,(songbook in front of you) does that mean that fleet foxes got their song from this piece? Or are you improvising parts to sound like them? Either way, it works out beautifully. Great job!
Hey there, well make sure you listen to my other stuff. This song has no music, i just happened to have music up, it is all improvised and yes i take most of the influence from Blue Ridge Mountains, which i am sure you can hear within this piano piece. The rest is all improvised and composed by me, i am glad you liked it.
I manage NOT to speak for the entire recording, in fact i am not really used to having a camera from THAT angle when playing, so you better watch out huh?!
Please excuse the out of tune piano, it is just slightly out, which is niggling me real bad upon hearing this now.
The first part where you can actually tell it is Blue Ridge Mountains is probably around 1m45s just so you know...

James - That is absolutely fantastic. You have a great talent and should be given a recording contract.
I see that you are based in the Brighton/Bournemouth area. I was at Rob da Bank's Camp Bestival in Lulworth last year.
Away from the stages, by the bonfire, they had an old piano, and one or two great impromptu players.
I had a brief chat with Tom Rogerson (Three Trapped Tigers). One of the styles of playing though sounded like you. Was it you? Were you there?

What a cool interpretation! Most people just try to brute force some chords and sing along. You really made this song your own.
