you can set the up or down load speed if you like.Best is "unlimited" for down & depending on your connection speed, either decrease the upload if you have a slower connection or leave unlimited if you have a real fast connection so as to "seed" and share the file..Do some research on peer to peer file sharing.Google IS your friend!

Azureus takes up too much RAM and is buggy. I'd recommend µTorrent. It's really small, needs less RAM and the GUI looks better.

hey...i changed the settings for vuze in order to optimise the download speed...but now i m fucked up ...instead of faster dl, it aint downloading at all.... i eve tried switching back to previous settings but i cudnt recall the listening port no... can nyone help

well Blackheart,If you had viewed comments, you would of seen this... I am on 1.5meg down (the fastest connection I can get).

When I up/d over 8 kbs it also DOES slow my d/l speed contrary to your claim higher up/l = faster d/l but more importantly, it slows my ability to surf dramaticaly.I also leave the file there overnight on full up/l speed in my case 25kb after i have completed the d/l. My share ratio at the moment is 1.3 so you can kiss my arse any time you like in the near future.

well you d/l what ever is your thing, be it movies, music or applications. The golden rule is SCAN WITH ANTI VIRUS B4 YOU OPEN (mainly with applications) lots of nasties are usualy embedded in key generators

i hate when people limit their upload speeds to crap speeds of like 8! at least set it at like 30kb/s upload or something... no wander half the torrents out there have like a million seeds but u get slow speeds of dialup at like 10kb/s (im on adsl2+)

I guess I 4got to mention in the tutorial that after i have finished the d/l,I reset it to unlimited. It's jus that in Australia we have 3rd world Broadband & anything over 8kb up/l, slows me down from say 30kb to 5-7..dont know why it jus does.So that is why I do wot I do & I am to busy to redo the turial jus to say this. One thing you may take into consideration is the torrent health. Bad torrents (e.g., not enough seeds/peers, bandwidth usage of tracker) can have an adverse effect on transfer speeds.

Don't use default Azureus port, change it to 6891 for example.

You actually need to cap your upload speed or else you can damage your connection or slow the torrents.

you need to put the unfinished file in the same folder that it originally d/led to, then open the SAME torrent file.Azureus will then check the file to see wot percent has been d/led & then will resume.

I am assuming you mean open the files once they have been downloaded to your pc.If they are rarred files( lots of little files that look the same)you need to unzip them using Winrar. Just right click on the 1st one and choose the option "open here" and it will unzip all the files and you will find the file (movie,game or program) you downloaded.You need to Install Winrar 1st if you don't have it all ready

Noobie, watch the Tutorial again & the bit that says "double left click the file to open it, then click the file tab and high lite all the files you DON'T want to d/l then right click and set priority to "do not download.Then only the files u want will be d/led

I am unsure what you mean by zip it as a folder.

I am assuming that the files are rar files so you need to unzip one with Winrar.This will then reveal the application exe and any other files that come with it.

the scheduled abilities does nothing besides keeps updating the same file basically giving you the hint of uploading the new VUZE by azureus but it still works fine just cancel that everytime it pops up and you're good, I used utorrent once, and I hated it...go figure

It's a personal preference choice, I just d/led and installed Azurues  3.0.0.2 and its very nice.
