Subliminal advertising is something that has been around for a very long time, and is something that I learned about in high school. Most people are aware that it has existed and may well exist now, but I contend that the biggest solution to any problem is self reliance and taking responsibility for ones own actions. Lets stop blaming our problems on others and take some responsibility.

This has nothing to do with subliminal advertising. Subliminal advertising happens when an advertising message is designed so we have no conscious sensation of this. What you are showing is and example of semiotics - attaching a symbol to something else so it obtains that property.
