I agree with u about tna needs to be held at a higher standard if they want to succeed and compete in 2 or 3 years from now and possible bring back the monday nite wars and truely make fans decide who they are going to root for and push each company to bring out their big guns and really give the fans a true storyline where we can really feel what we are watching. I believe that all these gimmicks in wrestling need to go away and just let them go at eachother.

The decision to put every belt on Angle sets a horrible example for where this company's priorities are. The X division title is now meaningless as the point has been made that, well, there is no X division. The tag team titles being defended as a singles title, and all the boys in the back who could have had these titles around their wastes or over their shoulders have to sit back and see the company try and put all their faith into one guy.
Joe was getting buried on the shows for the most part. He lost clean to Angle 2 times, only beating Angle when he missed a chair shot. He got outsmarted at Hard Justice, hes been put through tables and all that mess. It's ridiculous at this point.

They didn't bury Joe they made him lose to angle after interference and after he had made angle (the best wrestler in tna) tap out. I don't know about you but that's not my defininition of burying someone.
To me, Joe has been buried because everytime Angle and Joe are in the ring, Angle gets the best of Joe. Angle has beat Joe cleanly twice on PPVs, and beat him last night by clearly outthinking him. The one time Joe beat Angle, it was after Angle missed a chairshot and hit himself.
It's a somewhat sad note in that Scott Steiner (known as an unprofessional lunatic) does a fairly decent job in getting over a newcomer (during his feud with Joe) than Angle considering that a feud with Angle could have made Joe a superstar, if only Jarrett/ANgle/TNA had let it.
That's because Scott Steiner was getting behind Joe to get a big push last year. So he did his best to put Joe over. Angle on the other hand hasn't done such a great job.
Every time they are in the ring during iMPACT, Angle gets the upper hand: headbutting Joe and busting him open, putting him through tables, putting him in the Ankle Lock and not letting it go as Joe taps and the show ends, pinning him twice during tag matches and during the all star match thing.Hell, Joe even fell for Angle's ploy last night, with Karen Angle, which was the most obvious swerve ever. Joe was also (I believe) the only man not to score a pin during KOTM.
Even if Joe wins the title at BFG, as I've heard he might, I couldn't take him seriously as champ, as he has been made look absolutely incompetent by Angle so many times.

They had more sell outs but the Actual number of people going to shows is more now as they are playing bigger places. That is the numbers I have seen at least if you have seen other numbers please send them my way.
There not playing to bigger houses than they were in 2000 go watch a payperview from 200 the places dwarf the arena's they play in now. If you want references I take number's straight from the horses mouth that being the people that worked there. Christian's ROH shoot interview where he talks about the young guys being excited for a big house tonight and how he wishes he could have told him what it was like in 2000 when they played to stadiums and sell outs every night.
Your wrong on the Arena's most of the Arena's they played from 97-2001 only head 15000-25000 Most of the ones they play now its more like 20000-35000 which has more to do with the NBA and NCAA wanting biger areans and the smaller ones getting tore down. Now they are not playing the Dome shows that they where playing at that time though, but most of those where before bret left.
hmm I wonder why they had to take Wrestlemania's out of the stadium's for 2004 and 2005 and only recently had enough gusto to go into stadium's. yes 97 and even in 98 they were playing smaller venues and on the whole that would drag the total down but 1999 and 2000 attendance was huge. There a reason they don't pan to the entire arena anymore Slayer.
Plus Mick Foley talks about things like this in the Hardcore Diares. Attendance right now is beating 1996-98 but thats about it. During 2000 people were comparing the live attendance to what it was during the eighties nobody is making compariosn's to the current live attendance to the eighties now.
I was went back and looked at the attendence figures for PPVs, as I couldn't find info on over all, and you where right, I compaired 1999-2000 to the last year of PPVs so there where some 2005 PPV numbers in there, and the attendence was Higher then but not buy a ton if you want the numbers I have them saved and will email them to you.

But thats only because there are now twice as many show's run by the WWE because the RAW and SD split caused two different sets of houseshows.

Yeah Terry Funk talks alot about that in his book where he and Junkyard Dog were in the main event for the B set of houseshows and Hogan and Bundy(I believe could be wrong point was it was Hogan versus a rotating number of main event heels.)

Sure its up from what it was in 04' and the beginning of '05 but its there still having some trouble selling out payperviews for instance remember Armageddon they didn't sell that out A fucking payperview that never happened in 1999 or 2000. I have never said that 2000 was not the most successful year for the WWE becouse it was and i beleave 1999 was second. However that had alot to do with TV rev and alot more to murchindice sales. My point was that the LIVE fan base is still comeing something that was not going on from 93-97

Besides Backlash none of them have delivered quality wise and as far as buys are concerned the only one that has benifitted commercialy(as compared to last years numbers) was judgement day

The Saturday Night's Main Event have met to depressing ratings because they have lost there ability to make a important TV Special. You Don't know how wrong you are!!! Samoa Joe is one of the best wrestlers out there today, so don't believe the crap that others tell you just because he's not a poster boy for fitness (steroids). If you watch the "Unstoppable" DVD you'd realize how good he is, if you watch his work in ROH and internationally you'd respect him. TNA screwed him so bad at Hard Justice it was downright Disgusting he deserves better. Don't judge a book by it's cover.

The decision to put every belt on Angle sets a horrible example for where this company's priorities are. The X division title is now meaningless as the point has been made that, well, there is no X division. The tag team titles being defended as a singles title, and all the boys in the back who could have had these titles around their wastes or over their shoulders have to sit back and see the company try and put all their faith into one guy.

Joe was getting buried on the shows for the most part. He lost clean to Angle 2 times, only beating Angle when he missed a chair shot. He got outsmarted at Hard Justice, hes been put through tables and all that mess. It's ridiculous at this point.

They didn't bury Joe they made him lose to angle after interference and after he had made angle (the best wrestler in tna) tap out. I don't know about you but that's not my defininition of burying someone.

To me, Joe has been buried because everytime Angle and Joe are in the ring, Angle gets the best of Joe. Angle has beat Joe cleanly twice on PPVs, and beat him last night by clearly outthinking him. The one time Joe beat Angle, it was after Angle missed a chairshot and hit himself.

It's a somewhat sad note in that Scott Steiner (known as an unprofessional lunatic) does a fairly decent job in getting over a newcomer (during his feud with Joe) than Angle considering that a feud with Angle could have made Joe a superstar, if only Jarrett/ANgle/TNA had let it.

That's because Scott Steiner was getting behind Joe to get a big push last year. So he did his best to put Joe over. Angle on the other hand hasn't done such a great job.

Every time they are in the ring during iMPACT, Angle gets the upper hand: headbutting Joe and busting him open, putting him through tables, putting him in the Ankle Lock and not letting it go as Joe taps and the show ends, pinning him twice during tag matches and during the all star match thing.Hell, Joe even fell for Angle's ploy last night, with Karen Angle, which was the most obvious swerve ever. Joe was also (I believe) the only man not to score a pin during KOTM.

They had more sell outs but the Actual number of people going to shows is more now as they are playing bigger places. That is the numbers I have seen at least if you have seen other numbers please send them my way.

There not playing to bigger houses than they were in 2000 go watch a payperview from 200 the places dwarf the arena's they play in now. If you want references I take number's straight from the horses mouth that being the people that worked there. Christian's ROH shoot interview where he talks about the young guys being excited for a big house tonight and how he wishes he could have told him what it was like in 2000 when they played to stadiums and sell outs every night.

Your wrong on the Arena's most of the Arena's they played from 97-2001 only head 15000-25000 Most of the ones they play now its more like 20000-35000 which has more to do with the NBA and NCAA wanting biger areans and the smaller ones getting tore down. Now they are not playing the Dome shows that they where playing at that time though, but most of those where before bret left.

hmm I wonder why they had to take Wrestlemania's out of the stadium's for 2004 and 2005 and only recently had enough gusto to go into stadium's. yes 97 and even in 98 they were playing smaller venues and on the whole that would drag the total down but 1999 and 2000 attendance was huge. There a reason they don't pan to the entire arena anymore Slayer.

Plus Mick Foley talks about things like this in the Hardcore Diares. Attendance right now is beating 1996-98 but thats about it. During 2000 people were comparing the live attendance to what it was during the eighties nobody is making compariosn's to the current live attendance to the eighties now.

I was went back and looked at the attendence figures for PPVs, as I couldn't find info on over all, and you where right, I compaired 1999-2000 to the last year of PPVs so there where some 2005 PPV numbers in there, and the attendence was Higher then but not buy a ton if you want the numbers I have them saved and will email them to you.

Thanks for admitting that I was right on that point. However I may have jump the gun as well you may be right that attendance figures as a whole are better as in more people have come to the shows. But thats only because there are now twice as many show's run by the WWE because the RAW and SD split caused two different sets of houseshows.

Yeah Terry Funk talks alot about that in his book where he and Junkyard Dog were in the main event for the B set of houseshows and Hogan and Bundy(I believe could be wrong point was it was Hogan versus a rotating number of main event heels.)

Sure its up from what it was in 04' and the beginning of '05 but its there still having some trouble selling out payperviews for instance remember Armageddon they didn't sell that out A fucking payperview that never happened in 1999 or 2000. Oh and by the way 2000 was the most financially successful year WWE, WWF, or WWF has ever seen EVER thats a fact look it up.

I have never said that 2000 was not the most successful year for the WWE becouse it was and i beleave 1999 was second. However that had alot to do with TV rev and alot more to murchindice sales. My point was that the LIVE fan base is still comeing something that was not going on from 93-97

There were far more sell outs in 1999-2000 to bigger arenas but I guess since there are twice as many events and WWE was on a huge comeback trail at the beginning of this year there are more people total that have come to WWE events. Your right about people thinking that WWE is diminshing if anything its been growing however I think they put a big kibosh on that with the end of the singular brand payperview.

No question about that. I don't think Vince had the money yet to run the bigger Arenas in 1999-2000 becouse of the years before or he would have been doing more dome shows I think by the time he had the money for that 2001-2002 things where on there way down a bit.

Yeah I saw that it was a good video I agree with that strategy but Vince will never cut down the payperviews like that unless a competitor has huge success like that he might then ape it. The Saturday Night's Main Event have met to depressing ratings because they have lost there ability to make a important TV Special. I think they had a chance when they were gonna do the three way between RVD, Cena, and Edge but of course RVD got busted.
