It is easy to solve, make more jobs. The government instead of buying coal from abroad, steel and iron ore can just employ people to dig it up. These people will spend their wages on housing, food, clothes etc which are taxed and so the majority of the expended money will go back to the treasury thus making it cheaper than buying fro other countries. Everyone knows high employment reduces crime.

As the rich/poor gap grows, so does crime. Has done for years. Noels got a big point here. Thatchers days was were the rock set in, people raised on the welfare state. That mixing with the lack of responsibility in parenting and current youth culture (eg. having no facilities/places to go) creates a bad mix. There's always been violence in music and film, always will be.

I also come from a very poor background. My parents couldn't even afford to pay more than $20 for renting a room (during this time, South Korea was under military dictatorship). It is easy to solve, make more jobs. The government instead of buying coal from abroad, steel and iron ore can just employ people to dig it up. These people will spend their wages on housing, food, clothes etc which are taxed and so the majority of the expended money will go back to the treasury thus making it cheaper than buying fro other countries. Everyone knows high employment reduces crime.

1. The law needs 2b tougher on kids, but not go down the borstal route, but instead a penal system that doesn't mix the population, which is the breeding ground for re-offenders. Mad listen ur right about work or f off but not Thatcher she was a politician who had an ideology about staying in power. I think she was very destructive to busineses and jobs - she closed all the mines we now import most our coal from Poland.

no wonder y every scum bags want to come in this fuck country... when i walk on bethnalgreen road and i see unemployed bangladeshi carring 4 kids (all paied by my/ur fucking taxes) a think.. christ dosent the governament realaize... and lets no mantion 13/14 years old single mothers all over the country.. sad!!!
