It was "jammed" because he waited 60 minutes looking for a place to ditch the plane. He figured he should ditch it in the stadium but being a butt, decided to wait another hour for people to casually evacute super slowly. He killed himself out of pure, undilluted stupidity and I never felt any sort of emotional attachment to the character because he was also the worst of the 3.

some people say it's unrealistic but i have this game, my first and only ace combat game

i loved the game and story (chopper reminds me of one of my own friends exactly) and the game is mostly realistic, i can imagine jet fighter's aren't very maneuverable at high speed but you do lose manueverability at higher speeds so they do account for that

i really enjoyed the idea of the final dogfight at the end, i coulda done without the time limit though

realistic air combat? I as much as I love the Ace Combat games...I assure you, there is nothing "realistic" about them, other than the models of real life aircraft and the fact that yes they can fly.

The only vaguely "realistic" air combat game you can find on the PS2 is "Aero Elite: Combat Academy" You'll see how certain jet fighters handle so very poorly at slow speeds.
