It's not meant to be a new trend. Though sadly there are a lot of people suggesting what we should get to number 1 next year. The whole point was to reintroduce some fun into the charts. Way back when, there used to be a real sense of competition in the charts at Christmas. Also it was meant to simply make a change. The song wasn't chosen because RATM need it :P
