  • Ironically, before the 1941 film That Hamilton Woman, Vivien early in GWTWind played "that" Hamilton woman ... briefly bride of Melanie's brother Charles Hamilton.

  • This is beyond cute. Thanks SO much for posting. She is such an inspiration to me.

  • Lawrence Olivier always struck me as inauthentic, both in his acting and not. I suspect he was a closeted homosexual and that on some level Vivien knew this- sad parallels with Blanche.

  • JUst love here

  • Vivien Leigh & Lawrence Olivier was a perfect couple off screen & on screen. She's very much in love with Lawrence Olivier. Thanks for uploading this video. I love the songs (Elvis). The songs fit her great love for Larry.

  • THANK YOU FOR POSTING!!!!

  • She's like one of the best.I <3 her..awesome video..She did everything in her life on her own terms, and that's something not a lot of people are able to do in life, so whatever it is, her life is not a sad story...she is still remembered in world today....and she was and will always remain a real beauty in all aspects and by all standards, there was not a fake bone in her, even while she was playing Scarlett, I don't think can play that role today like her, or without giving a~put on~impression.

  • why can i never get used to her beauty??

  • thank you so much for this.

  • oh god

    she was wonder cleopatra

  • Sorry, I mean beautiful video!

  • Beautiful story, it's so sad what happened to her. May she rest in peace...

  • i love it!!!!!!

  • awesome ! It's cool !

  • aaaaaaa shez soooo beautiful...

  • loving the video i love the music but my fave of her films is gwtw deffo! but i love 'a street car named desire' - but i once read that that was what tipped her into maddness? which kinda breaks your heart! but still she came across so strong and beautiful and talented it was sad her and larry couldnt make it work u could see they loved each other so much like even larry after they split in interviews speaking of her his eyes sparkled there both stars legends always x i think there together now!

  • "Streetcar" did tip her into madness. After doing the play and the film she had a very hard time breaking out of the character of Blanche.

They are legends. I think that they are together too!

  • yer thats sad maybe more sad cos she was so strong! yep in dee dee their legends always and yey xox

  • Her story is very sad, but it is also very interesting...I think that they should make it a movie...They did make a movie about Vivien and Larry it is called "Darlings of the Gods" it looks really good I want to see it very badly......

  • i know there is one with her and larry....even if there wasnt a movie about her cos it could end up really wrong! like lucy(lucille balls biog film)but if they took bits of her like her bipolar and treatment her strenght i think it would show alot of people what it's like to have bipolar! i mean back then they would just lock em up as low they were crazy like gene tireney who reading her book went through so much it's sad a film ,like the snake pit maybe with better acting! xx

  • I have not seen "Darlings of the gods" but there is a video about it on this site. I think that the movie does show some scenes when Vivien went for treatment and things like that. The treatments that she had were electroshock treatment which was being used back then and she also sat in a bathtub of ice....It is very sad that she had bipolar it affected her life so greatly...Not only that but she also had tuberculosis.....

  • i know sad my auntie had a breakdown around the same yr as vivien and she had that the bathtub of ice and electroshock treatment it is sad and so is the tuberculosis which is what sadly killed her...i read her book and i was like crying but she had good timesi mean atleast more know about it now which is good on both of her illnesses i no what it's like to have someone u love die young-sometimes it's worse for those u leave behind! i dont think larry sadly forgave himself idk why but sad xxxx

  • Her life was filled with tradegy and also filled with happiness, she was a great person with a great personality and everyone loved her despite of her illness.

Years later after Vivien died,Larry was said to have been sitting in front of his tv watching "That Hamilton Woman" and he began to cry, he said "this was love this was the real thing, I had forgotten how beautiful she was, and that voice" She was obviously the love of his life.

  • i know i read that about larry and cried! that's so sad it didnt last xxxx

  • It is a very sad story.....
