  • They lost to the us in the moon race, and they'll lose the moving skyscraper race against dubai

  • moscow is so dirty lol

and they suc at building skyscrapers i kno this

u jus wana go ther for that hot chik in the video huh

  • they lied, of course...

  • its 2011, where the hell is it!!?!?!??

  • Moscow is a such a miserable city.. I couldn't wait to leave, it' so communist still.

  • im a bit skeptic. i wonder if the support columns will hold the stress and strain of the constant movements of the bearings and gears etc... the building would need large amount of power for the hydraulics for all the building. anyway, nice concept. brilliant work. hope everything would come out fne.

  • jhh

  • hahahahahha why would you want to be in a building like that??

  • so Next year is the Openig (2011) :D ?

  • i am insanely jealous of moscow's rich people

i odnt care about rich people of new york or dubai or london or anywhere else - but i am EXTREMELY jealous of rich moscovites

  • Good idea!!

    Deserves a praise surely!

But, for some reason arches and domes and magnificent Greek pillars interest me more in architecture. I don't know why!

Revolving buildings manage to stir up my amazement due to the never-before-seen movements in a building, but fails to impress my architectural sense of beauty!

How many people feel the same way?

    or is it just me?!?!

  • "a rotation at full speed will take one hour" - greatly showed in the animations.

2:00 "there is little likelihood that any of this offices will stay vacant". Well, the likelihood cheated, then

  • in the centre , stupids

  • call me crazy but did any one think about how you will be able to put a elevator in there or even stairs and if they do somehow put either one wouldnt you think that I cant leave the floor if the building is spinning.. if any1 knows please explain how there will be a elevator or stairs installed

  • That's why a rotating building was not built before - because it doesn't work.

You my friend are not crazy - but smart enough not fall for the fancy unrealistic animations this guy is trying to sell. Also, how will they process or drain waste. Last time I checked people still need to use a watercloset and take a shower.

It's cool he is thinking outside the box but there might be a reason or two why no one built a "dynamic tower" before.

  • man..i know this TV channel.. i was watching it while 2010 came..

    Medvediv was speaking there.. :)

  • maybe the core of the building don't move like the turning torso in sweden and i belev the elivaitors goes thrue there. atleast if i got it right but i might be wrong.

  • there is a still core going through all floors in which 8 elevators will be built...likewise waste systems just like any other regular building will go through common direction, however now they are re-directed through that common core rather than simply where the bathroom, kitchen, etc are located

  • elevators would be installed in the central column.

where else could they put them and the first few floors will not be moving does this answer your question?

  • the stairs and the elevator can take place in the center core. in order to synchronize the exit of the elevator and the entrance of your bedroom, well, elevator can wait till entrance arrives. It sounds silly, but still, it can be done.

  • and the core is safe with all of those gap entrances? (i hope i'm explaining myself well, i'm spanish)

  • Imagine getting drunk in that building.

  • its gonna get annoying if the fucking house moves and u spill wine.

  • Even the building core is made out of a concrete cylinder, But when a fire like the World Trade Center started to burn, the temperature will be so high that no one could use the firestairs to escape! We should build sky bridges connecting the muti-towers for the future high rise buildings! Twisting the ass is not going to save the lives in the event of a tragedy!---dancewu9dot)net

  • the fires in the WTC were only about 2000 degrees.

    steel melts at 6000

  • think about the damage done by the instant kinetic heat energy as the plane hit it though.

  • 47 center support columns?

    with fire proofing?

    what about the load exchange?

the building would have corrected itself..

its not like the building was the same size as the plane..

    besides..

what about building 7? it wasnt even hit by a plane and it collapsed the same way... yea remember the 3rd building on that day?

  • A'll definetely go there ;p!!!! MOSCOW 4EVER !!!!

  • hey there's a rotating restaurant in the kingdom of nepal too....i don't know the specifics....but it's old!!!

  • 13896014247 - Moscow television tower "Ostankino" is rotating too but it is not a skyscraper =) the same is with that restaurant in kingdom nepal ;)

  • Normally you draw the blinds or curtains when the sun is rising or setting right in your face, depending on your building's situation. With this idea of a full rotation every hour, good luck with that...

  • Nothing that impressive! The first spin building in the world was inaugurated in Curitiba (Brazil)long time ago. At the Suite Vollard, each floor independently rotates, offering a 360-degree view of Curitiba.

  • yah, but if I remeber that building's profile does not change.

  • Wow =))) Definitely will go there =)

  • lmao being drunk in that would suck.."hey yo, o shit lost my balance there" lol

  • Can you imagine being in that when you are drunk?

  • That would be full (sic). lol
