  • 14 People aren't in heaven

  • Man..this takes me back to 1985..senior in high school...like it was frikn yesterday.. Psych Furs one of the absolute best of the 80s. peace

  • love this song, the video fits perfectly with the emotion of the song

  • I recieved Richard's autograph at the end of this song at a show back in April... probably the best day of my life... made this 15 year old girl very happy is what he did. <3 I love them.

  • I dont want to jump his train, just his bones

  • Wow! unbelieveable!! Love this Song f/e!!!...keep them the innosence of the eighties coming!!!!!!....

  • His voice is gone now, you know. It was his chainsmoking that made the special voice, it turned out. Now he can't keep a note for more than two seconds, I just saw him two years ago. Tragic. : (

  • @winterstellar - I just saw him last night and his voice was still good not the same but voice was def there :)

  • This song is like......HEAVEN!

  • What a great song! I still remember thinking this was the anthem of my life staring out the window watching the rain with my old Sony Walkman blaring through my head phones.

  • I forgot how much I loved this band, such a great sound and absolutely unique. The 80s were the greatest time of my life, we sure had the best music (tho I really loved the 60s too), the best bands, the best looks and dances ..... Thanks YouTube for putting all this great music where we can hear it again ,, and again .. and again [sigh]

  • Been thinking a lot about the 80's. They had the benefit of synth pioneers like Stevie Wonder and Herbie Hancock behind them, and no or little influence of video during their formative years. Sound was the "color" and the threat of nuclear war (A Flock of Seagulls was named after a potential threat which would trigger MAD) informed a kind of "let live and let love" vibe.

  • My precious little baby Yvette, I was such a young mommy back then. Thinking of how young I was.

  • reminds me of wil francis

  • 80's is eternal to all the crappy music today

  • i love like how hes no a sit and spin standing up, LOL

  • AWESOOOOOME...! WE NEED THE 80'S BACK URGENTLY! WE NEED QUALITY & TASTE IN MUSIC AGAIN! MISS U EVERY DAY 80'S: U R & WILL B THE BEST!

  • @Caprifemme YEAH BRING BACK THOSE SYNTHESIZERS THEY ARENT BAD

  • great music! video sucks!

  • Song is called "Heaven," but shooting the video musta been hell! You can see his breath! Cold and wet!

  • I am so lucky for my birthday treat this year I go to see them, a few weeks past my birthday but hey for this prize!

  • @2ambrokennail are they like , still touring? dude! have good birthday, bring an umbrella, lol

  • just ,love it ,perfect.

  • impresionante documento . . que bueno!, gracis x el envio, 5 stars, saludazos!

  • Siempre 55555*

  • Life!Life!Life!

  • @tomamife Mr. Safety says: DO NOT PLAY ELECTRIC GUITARS IN THE RAIN!!!

  • @bitzofdata LOL, ESPECIALLY ON A SIT AND SPIN!!

  • @tomamife Mr. Safety says: DO NOT PLAY ELECTRIC GUITARS IN THE RAIN!!! NEVER, NEVER, NEVER DO THAT!

  • @bitzofdata why not? guitarist found out a long time ago u dont need wires to be connected to the amps to play, thats why the wire goes from the output to a receiver on the back of their pants which sends a signal to the amps. no electrocution

  • Extremamente bom.....marcou uma época...

  • The Furs are touring right now. Saw them in Seattle June 19th and they are better with age. They played here a few years a go and I figured it would be the last time. Glad they are going strong. Also glad they put the brakes on Love Spit Love. J.

  • good !!!

  • god im so glad i saw them at the wiltern.

    they sounded impeccable.

  • :-) ♥

  • Have they been very popular?

  • @Blutwiese Not in the US but in Asia, including the Philippines, and in Europe.

  • Psychedelic Furs were not the only bad to evoke such emotion. The 80's had so many bands that stuck a knife in your heart. The Cure. Dead or Alive. The Blow Monkeys. Eben Ozen. Roxy Music. Flock Of seagulls. I could go on and on and on... These bands set themselfs apart from the "Top 40" bands, and because of that they stuck a chord in our hearts.

  • I'd never heard of this band until today, and now I think it's awesome! It rocks my world :D

  • Comment removed

  • @CollectorOfMusic I do this but only with bands that use electrical instruments in the rain!!

  • @CollectorOfMusic I make mix--cds for my friends, but I call them mixtapes. People seem to be confused about that. There are also several communities devoted to creating and sending mixtapes (in CD form) to each other People all across the world do it.

  • @CollectorOfMusic good ol days! hello from athens!

  • Electricity and water don't mix. The Furs rock...simply Heaven.

  • I wish they had a better quality sound video of this.

  • Great song. Great beat. Great voice. Yes, truly underrated in their day. But, like a lot of things, people appreciating them twenty years later.

  • This song always makes me feel good.

  • don't fret too much - there was a lot more Rick Astley than Furs in the 1980's. You didn't miss that much!

  • Damn, sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade ('85), and I wish I was born in the '60s so that I could experience this stuff when it was brand new...

  • luv this song, want to dance to it

  • In the Psych Furs, I found everything that I had ever searched for in a band and even after all of these years, though I have strayed and flirted with obsession with Sisters of Mercy, the Psych Furs remain at the pinnacle of influences on my guitar and in my musical life

  • I wonder if they would actually play this song when i would die n if i knew i was going to " HEAVEN": its simply magical! 80's u are, were n willbe the absolute best thanks to groups like The Furs!!

  • best vid from the 8 0's...the Furs were amazing

  • The Voice of Singer Like David Bowie!!!Beautiful Song!!!

  • nothing can beat 80's music...new genres may come but new wave is eternal...

  • These bands (The Cure, Psy Furs, The Smiths) are our Beatles, Rolling Stones & The Who.

  • Totally Right!!

  • yes music back then was dreamy...the hip hop and rap ruined many many things for us all...such a disease on society...i try to like it but its such a hard pill to swallow...

  • I Agree

  • Amazing melody!

  • Proof that Music ended in 1979. Then came HipHop to bring in the final Death of hearing.

  • shut up.

  • 80s was the most melodic time in music history, aside from the classical era.

  • to bad you didn't end in 1979.

  • "too many kings want to hold you down", how true that is

  • Hell yeah, I hope they seriously consider putting out a new album backed by a tour. Not that I'm bitching about all the albums they have already, because thay all kick ass. But, I always like to see bands I really like put out new stuff even if it's just once in a great while.

  • Saw them back in the 80's with The Mission UK. Great show.

  • John Ashton, my hero and my guitar mentor....thank you, thank you!! Adam

  • I really hope they filmed this video during the summer, I mean, with all that water and cold....

  • This band kicks some serious ass. I got to see them on Sept. 15th for the first time in my life, and I've been waiting almost 24yrs to see them. I'm only 29, so it's not like I got to see them back in the 80's. I got to meet Tim Butler. God, I hope they come back!

  • you gotta be a cool person then ay???

  • I love this group. I love the 80's!!

  • Nice song.

  • Great song. I like his band Love Spit Love and the song 'Fall on Tears". Listen to it if you have not heard it.

  • Divno ;)

  • excelente cancion, una voz incleible, gracias por compartir estos clasicos

    Saludos desde Mexico

  • mon cer va, ner ta khg hi momo il dupont si car, bollocks

  • graceful as a trained dancer. those hands and forearms. Lovely

  • This was one of the best from the 80's

  • Underrated band and a lead singer with one of the coolest voices ever...

  • @tomasclassicconcerts This is definitely underated band. Mainstrem society can't stand truth, to me this is what this band represents, exposing the B.S. of organized religion as well.

  • @tomasclassicconcerts -- The coolest voice ever is an understatement....the dude absolutely dominated the talent scene, he just wasn't the most marketable dollar figure...which of course is the name of the game.

  • Loved this song 20 plus years ago. Great guitar solo - always had a thing for white Strats. Something to do with seeing Hendrix and his at Woodstock.

  • Very cool songs.

  • underated band, made cool songs

  • the 80s had good music and politics. the music scene was terrible in the mid 90s till recently. the lyrics were geared toward thugs, gangs and egos. this rock band video game is bringing older classics to the youth.

  • Saw The Names perform this live last month in Brussels - I am not kidding when I say they added a little more to this song than I ever thought you could. Does need Butler singing it though....

  • We r discussing MUSIC here not politics nor religion! MUSIC is precisely what keeps our mind off of all the barbarities n unfairness from them. N music is da only UNIVERSAL theme that brings people together regardless of political parties. Go to a concert n the "party " we enjoy is THE FURS ...KEEP POLITICS OUT PLS JUST ENHOY DA MUSIC!

  • The furs, killing joke, the cure, dead kennedys, simple minds, echo & the bunnymen - the list

goes on. The eighties might of been bad hair and crap politicians - but the music was WAY UP THERE!!!! - I was there and it was great time.

  • except when that bad hair picked up the make-up kit and guitars and decided to form a band.

  • Followed them thru' first two albums

    simply fu**ing BRILLIANT

  • For real " to many kings wanna put you down" sad in todays life

  • Like many British bands, they were ahead of the times,, cool

  • I can't say enough good things about this band!

  • Here is a great story I heard. I am a fan of many styles of music and love the furs. In a heavy metal mag from the 80s one of the guys from Metallica told a story about being in a taxi in a European country (I forget which one, maybe Finland, or Netherlands, or wherever the Furs are from. The taxi driver did not know him and asked what type of music his band played. When he responded "heavy metal " the taxi driver answered "oh you mean like the Psychedelic Furs".

    AVE SESENTAS....AVE OCHENTAS....AVE......?????

  • This guy has one of the most unique voices in all of rock history. Thank God for these guys. An underrated 80s band, just like The Chameleons and The Comsat Angels.

  • what`s so funny is that my dad is Richard Butlers age.. so when i was 17 , he was

37 .. lol ..luv the furs'

  • i was 17, had my first gf, this song was playing all the time...i never forget this night, so many memories, i`ll never, ever forget

  • I know what you mean.. i am your age also.. i love this band !!!-- always did

  • fuck you! You lucky son of a bitch!!! I should have been 17 then! With my first gf!! I didnt get a fair chance to live through the 80s. i missed out. I was born too fuckin late!! The world is a fucked up place today, with fucked up music. 80s will never die!!

  • wow.. have you thought about therapy?

  • the world was fucked up in the eighties too. the music may have been good but it also had thatcher, reagan, the falklands, the bnp, skinheads and 8 million on the dole...

  • TRUE...SNICKERDOODLEBOT

  • same here

  • It's inexplicable the beautiful feeling it gives me when i listening to 80's music! It takes me indeed to "Heaven", a heavenly decade where The Psy Furs are like angels playing their songs and making me feel blissfully happy! Insuperable decade- 80's I LUV U ALWAYS N FOREVER TOGETHER WITH DA FURS!

  • (: i love this song, my daddy raised me on 80's.

  • One of the best songs recorded. Shame he thinks he is Bowie. Too many obvious scenarios in the vid.

  • Butler is his own guy. He's amazing. If you like him check out Love Spit Love, I like the song Fall on Tears. Bowie is great too, but I like Butler better, his voice is hauntingly rich

  • love the furs and this song was a special to me.

  • Wow, blast from the past. Been 25 years that I heard this song...

  • Christ they must be freezing.

  • The only time you'll see Tim Butler not wearing sunglasses.

  • OM.G.

To me, the 80's only had three songs: the Furs' "Heaven", the Stranglers' "Skin Deep", and Voice Farm's "Seeing is Believing".

  • Great song and even greater guitar solo.

  • I Love this Song!!!!!

  • i used to make fun of the wierdo's who listened to this, now i know its the best. well... short of The Replacements. sorry Mel

  • super super cool tune, these 80's tunes will never fade......

  • Great song Great band it takes me back to my teen years.

  • Psychedelic ??!! hum hum... I hope you don't think it's rock psychedelic... If you wanna know what is rock psychedelic, go on Kula Shaker

  • This sounds good, but, it seems there are some edits within the song, some measures removed in spots? A Great song.

  • yes skipin the train ice skipin not!!! heavin

  • Fantastic song!

  • I consider this song as ________ song! Its amazing!

  • Adoravo questa canzone!!!! Ma che fine hanno fatto?

  • Prodigiosa voz! La mejor!

  • nice.

  • I think this Earth is like a school- we are supposed to learn/struggle/suffer so we may choose to learn, try to love and help each other and become more enlightened, and eventually pass on to the next(hopefully higher) level/dimension of consciousness: HEAVEN.....

  • yup.:)

  • Actually this is hell but it could be

heaven if the human desire to dominate

and control wasnt so strong if things

were right life would be so good we would

worry about were we go when we die and

    we wouldnt need scarecrows like

god the devil to keep us in line

we would love an take care of one another

  • Is Heaven somewhere you go after you die or is it the time you spend living here on Earth?

  • How you spend your life here on earth determines if you deserve heaven after you die. 'Life is a test'---Rick Warren's 'Purpose-Driven Life'.

  • this world is about struggle/pain

so everything is wrong in it but we must survive perfect the three aspect of the

soul mind body spirt or as the the gnostics

say MA KA BA to assend to better place we are sent here to learn as much as we can before we repent not to god but ourselves by knowin what is good and bad for us somesay to get into heaven you must first forgive god for all that was done and not done for you and god will forgive you for all you have done

  • Sure, but even if you do good things in life, you still can go to hell after death. Or so its "read".

  • I THINK BOTH.

  • You said it!

  • heavenly!
