The supposed "Satanic" imagery of all the crucified people is perfectly benign. St. Peter died on an inverted cross because he didn't want to die like Jesus.

So all this nonsense that reversing a sacred image corrupts its meaning is silly. The early Church had already established the inverted cross as another martyrdom symbol centuries before people chose to associate it with Satan.

If you kinda do some research you can dig up this information. Dominion was actually going to be the original script but due to fear that it wouldn't succeed they changed the story a bit to make this. Renny Harlin (director of Nightmare on Elm St 5) was chosen to make it. Unfortunately this bombed miserably in the eyes of critics so they made the original movie 1 year hence. Now personally I had fun with both films. Original's the best of course, but it's not like a Star Wars prequel.

Yes Pazuzu actually was the antagonist in all the films. In Heretic (wouldn't recommend unless you want Linda even though the writing they gave her sucked) he continued to haunt Regan and fought her and the priest investigating Merrin's death. In Legion he was still lurking in the corpse of Damien Karras and helped a the Gemini Killer to use his body to kill more people after he died. He's in both version's of the prequel as well. Only here can we see the Captain Howdy face again though.

Thanks for posting! I always thought this was a better prequel than Dominion when it came to horror. Dominion and Heretic were interesting I guess, but not sccary. This wasn't perfect either, but it was scary at some points. That upside down cross thing aways creeps me out. I love the music to go along with it though. Really dramatic.

Ummm if you noticed they didn't show that until the guy with the cross standard in his chest died. It's some weird demon thing going on. In the movies the crucifix's on the walls sometimes fall off the wall or go upside down. No one would crucify someone in a battle of sorts. Although we hear later in the film they were a force that mysteriously started to kill each other.....
