"the religion of helmet. bleh. they're fine. life contains a particle of risk, jack."
Like antibiotics, exercise, good nutrition, and seat belts, which I guess you also disdain, helmets reduce "particles of risk". That's called rationality, not religion.
And to those that think helmets are needed - NO - cars are the problem - should complain about those ugly metal boxes needing to be a thing of the past....
I like your video. I am building a cargo bike with electric assist and am looking for a cargo hold like the one on your bike. Do you know where I could buy just the plastic cargo hold you have on your bike?
Well said, everyone else said it but you win on wit, panache and simplicity. You made me laugh.
There is no excuse not to lay out a little money to greatly increase the safety of your precious little family now is there? You lose a little money and a little style. Worth it if you ask me, for allowing your crotch spawn to grow and thrive.
Nice apocalyptic tune on the video where none of you are wearing helmets! What if you all spilled out and bashed your heads? At least the theme music would be appropriate!
There's seatbelts in the bucket smart ones. Also, most of the world bikes around without worrying over helmets and extra safety equipment. More people are injured in cars anyways, so why not wear a helmet for that all the time? If you do, let me know and put up pictures. Thanks!
it's all fun and games until one of your kids moving around causes you to tip over. The kids then spill out the back. One is ok, but one bonks his head on the pavement causing a traumatic brain injury. He or she spends the rest of his or her life unable to tie their shoes, play basketball, skip rope, fall in love, or have children of their own. You, of course, spend the rest of your life taking care of them. Spoon feeding a 40 year old. Three times a day. Every day. WEAR A HELMET DUMBFUCK!!!!!!!
I just got one of these bikes, I hardly get to ride it cause everyone else wants to try it out! We've put 4 kids in the back and gone all over town on the bike paths, even my 11 yr old daughter can take her 5 yr old brother and 8 yr old sister for a ride. LOVE THE BIKE!
That's one long-haul truckin' Momma! I recently bought an Xtracycle, and I'm awed just as much by the capacity (and possibilities) of a cargo bike as I am by its length and bulkiness. To be honest, I can't imagine riding something as long as the Madsen, especially with that big ol' bucket on the back of it. Looks great, though! Thanks for the video!
That is so cool. It rides so easily and the kids are lovin it! What a great way for moms to get little kids around so easily. Cute kids! Love the bike.
way cool video! I love it. you can adjust your kickstand to make it easer. check out the web sight madsencycles . com for tips on using you Madsen bicycle.
please get helmets for you and your kids.

Try pedalling with the ball of your foot rather than the middle, you get more power and it doesn't look stupid. Also, learn to spell Prius.

They're all saying it, because it's true. Everyone in this video should be wearing a helmet.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
Where are their helmets?
I don't have any kids, but if I did I wouldn't
want their little skulls bouncing on the pavement without some protection.
Not to mention that in most states the law mandates helmets for kids at least.
Brains belong inside one's skull.
