I've had both. Had a '95 Civic and a '98 Grand Cherokee. '95 Civic had 170k on it when I sold it. Only problem I EVER had was the brake pads wore out almost every summer. That's it. Now the Jeep on the other hand has had plenty of problems from the battery grounding out and shutting the car off in the middle of nowhere, to the brakes fucking up, to engine parts fucking up. Hondas are better made. Sorry but I'd take a Honda anyday over alot of cars, even if they are slow.
ROFL!!! Honda's are hard for YOU to "fix" because you're a moron, and in my experience they rarely need to be repaired. They have just as much room as any other car in their class and nearly every model has 5 star crash test ratings as well as the best safely ratings from the IIHS. Not all Hondas are slow and the models that are achieve exceptional fuel efficiency. The V6 Accords are faster than most American V6 powered cars in the same class, and they are better on gas.
I worked in a shop for almost two years and owned Hondas for 10 years. Hondas are certainly not difficult to work on and I don't think I had more than a couple actual problems in the entire time that I've owned Hondas. These problems were with a car that had over 260,000 miles on it, they were minor and easy and inexpensive to repair.
If you want examples of cars that are hard to work on try working on something German or newer American cars. Their designs very poorly laid out and disorganized, and they are not only hard to work on but also have problems because of their poorly thought out designs.

I have a '93 Civic CX with 310,000 miles on it, I am the second owner and either I or the first owner has ever had a problem with it. Oh and it gets 40-42 mpg CITY! I also have a '91 Civic HB with ~230,000 miles on it that I converted to a ZC. 7,000 miles later, no problems, 35-40 mpg CITY and it's quick and fun. Mom's 2007 Civic, ~15,000 miles, no problems. Sister's 2000 Civic, ~180,000 miles, no problems. GF's sister's 2000 Civic, over 100K miles, no problems. Type GM recalls into altavista.
I have a Pontiac Bonneville with 240k miles dosent burn oil at all. No rust on the body. Yeah im only getting 18MPG but 230lbs of Torque is nice compared to 115.

Good for you. My ZC is exactly as fast as V6 Camaros and new Pontiac G6s, so you can keep your 18 mpg. Torque only matters in redneck physics so you can keep that too.
Like I said, my family had an '86 Toyota pickup. Never had one problem in the entire 300k miles we had it. My neighbor had 2 Toyota pickups. Never had any problems. The older Jeeps are crap. We have a '98 Grand Cherokee with the 4-liter straight 6. 120,000 miles. We've had numerous problems. Battery kept grounding out, making the car shut off in the middle of nowhere. You couldn't go over 65mph for awhile b/c of some crap in the steering column. The car was overheating for awhile.
BMWs are only good if the engine is 2-liter or bigger. Otherwise they are slow as fuck. I beat a 318ci (convertible) with my '95 civic with a 1.6 vtec automatic with an aem cold air intake.

No my Honda only had an AEM cold air intake. He had a DTM exhaust system, K&N cold air intake, some kind of short throw shifter n like had a headlight removed (guess that added on 50 horsepower right there.) I beat a 318ci. 318 i and ci are pretty much the same except one is a convertible. I came pretty close to beating a Z3 also. I sold my Honda. You'd have to race my Volkswagen. N I would put shame to a 318 w/ my VDub. I beat a BMW w/ my Honda so my car WAS better. W/e. Go bang ur sis redneck.
It was a '96 318 convertible and he claimed it had 140 horsepower. It didn't. In the Z3 it has 140. His was probably more like 120. Because my Civic made 125 stock. Can't be much more than that with a cold air intake. Then again that cold air intake on a vtec where the heads suck in more air, it's gonna give it a little more push. With a vtec engine, you could probably get 5 to 10hp gain with a full cold air intake. I beat him by at least 2 car lengths too. His 318ci was slow as fuck.
