I like the blue my hair used to be blue. If you want to do gray Im not sure if ur a licensed cosmetologist or not but I use a color line called PRAVANA and it has a beautiful gray/silver color that I think would work perfect for u BUT u will have to strip the blue out before you do it.

I bought a bottle of purple shampoo from hairdressers that makes your hair silver, I bleached it and it when a really nice violet/grey (': hope it helped.

i wish I knew what u could do to make it gray. i still think it looks great! You could try mixing a white or a purple in with it but i dont think so... i've never died my hair so... well, if u try this, i hope it works!

I've had a few friends die their hair blue to make it gray.

I believe their blue was lighter.

BUT, it should still work the same,

I think you would just need to let it fade and it should just go gray/silver.

So I suppose make it fade faster, you can do this by washing your hair with really strong soap, like dish soap or even Clothing detergent.

Hey I don't know if someone already told you, but if you want it that silvery gray color you are going to have to bleach the blue out until it hits that yellow inside of a banana color and tone it with a wella toner called "white lady" it'll make it crazy silvery gray!

It is blue because the colour was left on too long. If you had the section of hair lifted (bleached/lightened) and then used a toner with a blue base, then you would only need less than 10 minutes for it to neutralise any yellow tones. Head & Shoulders dandruff shampoo used to be excellent at stripping unwanted colour deposits. Use a violet toner in future on very lightened hair and you will achieve a "grey" but I would think you were trying for a much more elegant silver.

This video is a bit old so I'm not sure if you found your solution yet but what you need to do is lighten your hair to a level 12, which is platnum blonde, then you tone it with a blue based toner, to keep it from going yellow do to UV exposure (which it will) there are rinses you have to use. I used to work at Sally's, I've since moved on and become a pro, but all the products I just mentioned are availible there!

I didnt know the blue was a mistake...well you look gorgeous!! I love the blue!! Why did you want it gray? People with gray hair dye their hair to hide the gray...and you want it gray?? lol just playing. Is it permanent? It looks hot! You should wait 'till it washes off and fades (if its temporary) and then try the gray ;)

I don't usually like the crazy colors people do, but your blue looks amazing against the dark! I'd leave it! Oh, and your hair short looks so cute and modern and very edgy at the same time. Go to Sally's again they have like a shampoo that says something about gray hair. My mom uses it to make her ashy blond hair look gray. It is like a violet base shampoo. try it out maybe it will work. It won't damage your hair. I don't remember the name but it's in the shampoo department.

grey hair you need a blue based toner or purple/blue violet hair dye that fades to grey (just dilute it with conditioner). Needs to be bleached to platinum white first. I also use Wella silver lady t14 or Directions Silver. Maintain it with a purple shampoo like shimmer lights just as you would with platinum hair. I hope this helps. Good luck
