  • A standing gainer is a back tuck.... You just travel forwards a bit.

  • i was doing standing gainers before back tucks lol.

  • surprisingly for me the gainer is easier than a typical back flip because of the momentum from kicking your feet

  • Um... my best advice would be to do what I did. Join your local gym club (my uni in this case) and use the sponge pit until you're confident. Paying the membership fee will be much easier than paying for it in pain!

    Please don't try it on grass your first time.

    Just my advice.

  • Fyi - tucking is when you curl your legs inwards to your chest and grab them with your arms so when you spin you look like a curled up ball....this way you can spin faster.....

    In almost ALL tricks... you need to jump *UP*, people. Up, up, up. No, not to the side (although you CAN convert that energy if you want to, aka "blocking")... you must go UP!

    Even a butterfly twist... requires you to go UP first.
