I can scarcely hear this piece without being brought to the verge of tears... it's so fitting of Edward as a character. In the SNES version I never really appreciated him, but he has such a gentle, reflective demeanour. He knew he was surrounded by greater men than he, and never had a chance to grieve for his lost love, but even so was fiercely devoted. To struggle against one's own limitations is a very human thing, I thought.

Not just gameplay-wise (though he's taken huge leaps and jumps in the remakes) but story-wise, he's a sweet guy who's hit hard by the death of his love, but still comes through for Cecil and co. And then there's the After Years, where he develops gigantic testicles. Edward is amazing.
His music is beautiful, but he's still gay lol its all about Kain nd the relationship between Cecil and Rosa... also Fuck the twins they piss me off.
