Hope youtube never takes these episodes down because it is a wonderful childhood memory. Just came to the UK as a wee little thing and it was one of my favorites growing up. England was as beautiful then as it is now and I am not just saying that because I am from there because it is true.
Margo is a right snob. Not Penelope Keith's other snobbish Creation, Audrey Forbes-Hamilton isn't as up herself as Margo. But I prefer good old Margo.....And she's rather tasty.
its funny how when he goes out to get the Christmas tree there is no flower pot on the table but then half a second later low and behold one flower pot
@stumpydolphin it would appear that way, but in actuality Tom carries the flower pot in with him when he brings the tree top in from outside; he's holding it behind his back (for some reason) and then we don't see him place it on the table because the camera is on Barbara at that point. This show is too well thought out for continuity errors. :-)
This show was great and we all wish it had gone on longer. As for Felicity...she was the prettiest Brit ever up until that time...and then years later came Diana. Wonder who's gonna be the next prettiest Brit and how long will it take for her emerge. These shows were part of the best and happiest times in my life. We Americans love "The Good Life" and all those other Brit coms as well. I can't imagine a Saturday night without them!
Thank you for posting this. Was one of the first Chirstmas's after my parents split, we watched this at my dads, wouldve literally just turned 10, - loved it, thank you, happy memories. cup of tea, mince pies, Christmas cake - think that this was the Christmas, that after picking us up in the evening, when going to fetch my stepmum from the end of her shift as a nurse, we went to the beach to see the moon on the sea on Christmas night - never forgotten it.
is it me, or is the tradesman the chemistry teacher from the original charlie and the chocolate factory? it weirds me out that i would remember him, but there we are...
Does anyone know if this was filmed before or after the last episode of series 4? Ta.
