@FreemanBG The reason for that was because Steven Spielberg`s "E.T." started a few weeks before this movie in the cinemas. The people liked a friendly alien more than an alien-monster.

@MyLongestJourney Yeah! It reminds me of "Invasion of the Body-Snatchers" with Donald Sutherland. The body-snatchers` scream was very similar to this scream.

Most comon reaction I've seen for this movie. "Ok, that scene with the dog-thing was fucked up. Probably the highlight of the monster for this movie." Then It comes to the scene with Bennings, "Ok, BenningThing's hands are kinda creepy but not too bad." 5:58 "I just shit my spine."
