wtf? is it "remastered" or "re-mixed" from the original "slave" tape, which would be a "re-mix, then re-master"

"re-mastering" would denote that this source was taken from the "mixdown" tapes.or master tapes, then processed with modern equipment.

It can be deceiving because many dont realize that the machine they used to record the music is called the slave machine, then it is mixed with an analog board, then re-recorded onto a master tape machine, thus the master copy.

@analyzingfunny (2) But no producer is EVER going to use an original master tape for anything but to make copies of. What we are really hearing is a copy of the master tapes in many cases. Which is 2nd generation.
