  • I learned two things from this video Judy (and THANK YOU!)

I learned how to decrease on circular needles and you way looks a lot less clumsy than the way I've been doing it!

I also learned how NOT to stretch my knitting while I'm decreasing on circular needles. Can you demonstrate this technique more closely? I will watch it again (and again and again) but if there are more tips about this, I would find them very helpful.

  • Ahhhhh so thats how you make the decrease without the funky lumps. I always end up knitting with fluffy and fuzzy yarns because with other yarns you can spot the weird lumps I make... haha

  • Thank you ^^ for new way decreasing, it's really helpful.

  • @phonchol

glad the video helped you. please keep watching and look for me on facebook too.

  • Thanks for this! I love circular needles, as a beginner I think they're easier to manage than the DPN's. Thanks for showing how to decrease on these, I don't like DPN's at all! lol

  • @TheSilentPrincess

glad you like circulars, but sometimes you have to use dp's. thanks for writing. new video today.

  • Hi Judy

Thanks, I'm new to knitting again after a 20 year gap :) thanks for taking the scary out of circular needles.

Brillient video, well explained, thank you

    Best wishes

    Billie :)

  • thanks for the nice notes. glad I was able to get you to not be afraid of the circulars.

  • When i find the video to fast I pause it rewind it and this seems to help Hope it helps you. I usually have to do this a couple times til I get it!!

  • Thank You Judy! I was looking every where for how to Decreases on those needles. I know I can always come to you:)!! Thank you !!

  • Usually I knit 2 together (k2tog) per my patterns for hats, but they tend to poke out or get bulky in those areas. Does this method decrease that effect?

  • I like this method better on round needles. Give it a try.

Please watch for new videos. I try to put at least one up every week.

  • Hi Judy, I enjoy and learn so much from your videos. I am doing a round basket; I want to decrease but I am confused with the whole left-slanting---right slanting thing. Does it matter how I do decrases in the round.? Do stiches slant when you are doing a round object like a hat? Is my final product going to lean to the left or right? Help!

  • As a newbie knitter I truly appreciate your clear, slow and precise video! You make it look so easy and not as difficult as it seems.......thanks!!

  • Glad you like the videos. Check out the new one I put on yesterday. It's all easy once you know how to do it.

    Thanks for your comment.
