FYI: I've read the Koran several times, with and without Tafsirs, a lot of the 6 sahih ahadith and 2 sirat. I have also read independent historians, who somehow missed Muhammad, much like earlier historians missed Jesus, so going deeper only throws up more questions.

My basis for this statement is grounded on the Sahih Hadith mainly of Bukhari and Muslim and the "Sirat Rasoul Allah" by ibn Ishaq, as was written down by Ibn Hisham.
The fact that Muslim obedience is done through fear and blind faith comes from the numerous verses of the Koran. You should read it!
