  • Great for glasses too x

  • Barakallahu feeki ukhti wal hamdulillah! I love this video mashaa Allah and will share it with our Muslim sister here. Shukron.

  • i am not a doctor yet but i am in the process of studying to be one inshallah and i just started wearing my hijab 2 months ago so i will definitely be trying this

  • I love your perosonality! your so bubbly ; I love it!

BTW, I have a quick question, do you think it is wrong for a muslim to convert to another religion?

  • Sorry but I didnt actually get you on the scarf :(

  • Are there times where it is acceptable in your faith to walk outside without a scarf, or is it required at all times? Just curious

  • You can use the new earhole underscarves for this now!!

  • Thankyou this was very helpful :)

  • @Amenakin Have you ever had an "accident" where one of your kids has managed to pull down your scarf. I'm assuming that is not haram if the child is too young to know any better.

  • @liquidblackuk Hmm, no, not completely. They have pulled it to expose some hair, though. Nah, it's not haraam. Islam is very much based on intention, and children are innocent enough not to have malicious intent. In fact, even if I were to momentarily forget that I am not wearing a hijaab and step out of the house in front of men, I'm not sinning because it's a genuine mistake. God is Merciful so things like this aren't considered dire :o)

  • Hi, sorry if I seem rude or asking a silly question or disrespectful to your religeon, but why are you not allowed to show your ears and hair, and is this only to everyone but your husband?, ....I didn't watch the video in full, but I notice you did one with your sister who isn't wearing a Hijaab? scarf, is this because she is not married yet or some other reason? :-)

  • @CrustyBiker Hello! Please see my video 'Why I wear Hijab', which'll answer your first question :o) With my sister, she doesn't yet want to wear hijab, although she accepts that she should be wearing it because that's what God wants for us to do (maintain our modesty by covering up most of our body). Islam doesn't condone "forcing" its adherents (or even non-Muslims) to carry out religious acts, since that takes away the sincerity of the act. So I choose to wear it & she chooses not to wear it

  • Assalam walikum sister!

What's the measurement of the hijab used in this video

& do you often work with larger scarves?

    Jazakallah! :D

  • @Babieejinn Wa 'alaikum as-salaam; I think this one is about 170cm x 65 or 70cm

  • Thank you so much! You're a lot of help. =) Alhamdulillah my problem is solved before the start of our preclerkship.

  • Thank you for your help! Jazakallahu khairan. I have to use a stethoscope to measure blood pressure in pharmacy school. But the way I do my hijab would make that very hard. So thanks for this video. Ramadan kareem, by the way.

  • i was JUST talking to my friend about this today, and i happened to come across this video without even searching for it! what are the oddddds? helpful video!

  • Subhaanullah... Jazak'Allahu khair sis... Always have had an issue with this. Lol.. Thanx heaps, def goner use this style when I work next yr IA once a week, if i can manage to stop having babies, alhamdulilah. xo

  • thank you so much mis amenakin for developing this hijab style.. as a medical student i have ahd difficulty wearing hijab during my bedside rounds.. thaks a lot!

  • u r so cute

  • Ur video is helpful. U may show this Hijaab process on a kid, without the problems u faced in this video.

  • Thank you! :-) I intend to stay subscribed to your channel!

  • Im not even a doctor/nurse or anything but I just LOVE watching your videoss!!!

Mashallah you look beautiful toooo x

  • hi, i love your tutorials, especially this one. i'm 13, muslim, and i love this style of doing your hijab as it's not too simple but not too fancy and can be worn casually and can be done in like 5 minutes. i've been practcing it's really easy to do and i can wear to school! :) do you have any other ways of doing your hijab similar to this?

  • sorry about the double posting

  • I wear my hijab/shaila pretty similar to this way, but i just wear a regular underscarf, then fold the shaila 1/3 all the way along the front length- the part that goes around your face, it will remain folded due to the 2 pins you put in, i just bring them a little more closer to the front, to make sure the folded layer underneath is kept in place too...everything else is pretty much the same

im an ED resident and it stays in place throughout my full shift just fine,

    So it does work=)

    thanks!

  • @ninnevah This reminds me of that scene in the movie "Patton", where General Patton was far more strict with his soldiers, demanding that every soldier wear his helmet at ALL TIMES! When the Army doctor refused to, saying he couldn't use his stethoscope when he wore his helmet, General Patton replied "Then cut two holes in it so that you can!" NO ONE messed with Patton, for even the bigoted Nazi Germany was afraid of him!!

  • assalamualaikum...are u a doctor, amenakin?

  • Each time i go to my clinical placement i'm struggling to put my hijab on nicely whilst still being able to place my stethoscope in my ears! This hijab style is super cute we';ll see how it looks with scrubs! Scrubs kinda ruin the pretty hijab look :*(

  • Very idealistic!

  • I love that look! I´m not a Muslim, but i like your tutorials :D I even try them out in my room and they look beautiful <3

  • As a secretary, I have to listen to dictation on a headset. I'm a new hijabi and I was really wondering how I was going to work this out...thank you so much for this and all you videos sis, may Allah reward you in this life and the next.

  • this is good to use if you want to listen to music through headphones also........lol

  • hang ni lawo betui la ameena oiiii :)

  • Looks brilliant! wow, well done. Amazing ingenuity there. InshaAllah want to try it out. Would it work with thicker/heavier fabric scarfs? I notice you use a softer lighter hijab (its a thin long hijab right?). Jazaki Allah Khair for doing this and all the care you take to maintain very high standards of haya' :)

  • Salaam walaikum sis, this style is really pretty and useful even just for using headphones, answering the phone etc..lol keep it up, love ur videos still!

  • absolutely love it. I can use it for my lab. just one quick qz Sister Amena do u think it will work wit silk or pashmina scarves? JZk <3 xxxxxxxxxxx

  • JazaKhallah Sister, keep up the good work. May Allah reward you

  • YES!!! I can't tell you how annoying it is to fumble with a scope and hijab on an ambulance! Thanks for posting this!

  • MashAllah, you are so beautiful!

the hijab styles never end up looking as nice on me, lol.

  • this is also good for when wearing earphones :))

  • ooface....... Good idea!!!!!!!

  • pearl daisy should make a hijab bonnet with little holes about where the ear is. that way one could wear the bonnet below the ear and have full hair coverage and still have access to the ear....

  • r string underscarves fabric material of PD difrnt frm de other u.scarves?? cud any1 expln?

  • You're so pretty!!!! Thank you for the video. I'm Malaysian, and I wear the hijab, but i wear it in a totally different way (i prefer square scarves compared to the rectangle ones). I am studying medicine in london, and I find it fascinating to see how the locals wear their hijabs. I've tried out the style so many times, but i just look weird.. I am determined to get it right one day, and been watching your videos to see how to copy the styles :)

  • this is a look for NOT just stephescopes...lol.

Those sister's work in labs, wear sunglasses, bluetooths, work with kids, don't like things tight on the neck or experience headaches. LOVE IT

  • @ptasiemleczko6902 you're welcome :o)

  • Look at how happy she is when a person (most likely her husband) walks in :D

  • @reycism lol <3

  • @Amenakin just so long as I have your attention as a top rated and answered comment, Im a HUGE fan :D and I love just how creative you are with these styles. Im a muslim teen in a western country, and being able to style with accessories has just raised my confidence levels through the roof (even though my styles use square scarves). I just love your youtube work in general. Sorry about the long post (*blush*) c:

  • @reycism yah evn i felt de same as u thot but din wryt as comment!!!

    so happy ah

  • any tips you have to offer :-D thanks!

ps: sorry this post is so long!

  • @anam119 I reckon it might be the shape of your hairline - so you're saying when you wear it high enough to be secure, your hair still shows from near your temples? You might still be able to 'bend' the underscarf under the ear. Have you tried that? If that doesn't work, I think it might just be the hairline shape you've been blessed with, so I would suggest you try a tube underscarf. Do use a slide/bobby pin on each side to hold down in place, though, as I find tube underscarves slip a lot

  • when I want to do a style that requires me to pin from the back..my cap only comes down halfway down my ears and I have to put up with the pain. Maybe I’m using the wrong caps? I use the ones that you tie in the back..I dunno if I got a bad piece or what? so should I try the tube ones? I didn’t think I had an abnormal size head up until this point haha but it’s getting really annoying now to have numb ears at the end of the day. If my post made any sense whatsoever, I’d appreciate

  • I wasn't sure how to ask this but now that you mentioned it in this video it makes it a tad bit easier! I've been wearing Hijab for almost two years now but I cannot, for the love of anything, figure out the mystery behind the under caps. HOW HOW HOWWW do you get it to sit so perfectly? Live covering all side hair and your ears all together? When I do a style that I have to pin from the front, I have the leisure to tuck the cap behind my ears just as you did for this style BUT when

  • I'm gonna try this tomorrow! I HATE having stuff on my ears, so this will be perfect!

  • Lovely tutorial! Amena you're a hub of ingenious ideas! This hijab style could also be adapted for the summer too when you want some more looseness around your ears/neck. And alhamdullilah you're glowing, hows your pregnancy going? And love your top it's so cute, where's it from?

  • hi are you doctor ,??

  • omg finally something for stethoscope thank you Ameena I go to a highschool where i study basic medical skills their and we use stethscope and now i will try this for next year when i intern at the hospital Thanks:)

  • Love you sis amena xx

  • hi! I want to go on your website and order a few things but for some reason its not even loading the page? Is there something wrong? Oh and by the way, I love your videos. Please keep them coming. Can you make more of a neater and sort of tight hijab style?

  • Beautiful scarve!

  • ur too freakin awewome ;)

  • Even though I am not Muslim, I have always found the hijaab scarves and styles to be very pretty and very interseting to look at. I'll have to buy a few and practice and wear them just because they are so beautiful :)

  • aww...Thankss alot sister for sharing ! :) such a lovely style MA!

..and yes...i usually don't consider NOT wearing my underscarf over my ears..and believe me..i get headaches at times and my ears hurt too ! :(

I'm definitely gonna try it out this weekend then wear it to hospital next week!

  • Life saver! going to try it tomorrow =D Thanks alot ! It's pretty n practical .. you shuda seen the mess during my clinical cardio exam..I was a mess but my grade wasn't ..al hamdullilah

  • @Mayo0osa Alhamdullilah

  • @Mayo0osa I feel ya!! I had clinicals last year and my hijab was goin everywhere! After each patient exam (w/ a stethoscope) I would run to the bathroom to fix my hijab. My clinicals are starting again on Tuesday and I was so worried I would have the same thing happen again. Thanks to your video, inshallah this time around I wont!! I just tried the style and it works!! My hijab is small though so I need to get a bigger one for school. The only thing I did differently was use a tube style..

  • @Mayo0osa underpiece. I don't have any that tie in the back, but it works just the same. Thank you again! Jazaki Allah khair

  • @luluha17 Wow, I didn't realise this problem was so common! I hope that you and your friends find this general method useful - I'm sure you'll all adapt it to fit your needs :o)

  • as'Salamau alaikum! Sis Amena!!!! JAK!!! I am an accountant but I laways have issues with my ears. • Random question: Do you really spell your name with an "e" instead of an "i"??

My name is Amena too spelled "Amena" ... I thought I was the only one in the world that spelled it with an "e" lol!

  • @amenoacid09 lol... my parents spelt it wrong - I always say my dad was too excited after I was born and spelt it wrong when he registered me haha. I reckon it should be 'Aamina'!
