Really enjoyed this video. Shaky Camera Syndrome and Hyper Kinetic Editing are the scourge of modern filming processes. They have there place (like in the two new Bond films and The Bourne Trilogy) but are abused techniques. The use of it in Star Trek was absurd. I've noticed that these techniques are used like crazy outside of film too. Sports coverage simply gushes with the crap!
In alot of fight scenes, though, SCS makes them SUCK. Watching the fight scenes from "Batman Begins" you can barely tell what's going on. It's fine for Batman's fight on the dock with the thugs--makes it look like it's from the villans' point of view--just some..thing tearing into them. But for the other fight scenes, I wanted to be able to see the techniques.
Jay & Mark Duplass need to watch this with Paul Greengrass and then maybe they will learn to hold the camera still.

That Matt guy looks like a 13 year old boy.

shaky camera is only good if the fight scene is so boring that the shaky camera takes attention away from the boringness, and makes it kickass.

Me to hope this shaky cam fever epidemic goes away soon.
It just makes you nervous and takes concentration away from what's really happening.

the fight they demonstrated sucked with the shaky camera. It looked better with a stable camera.

Ehehehe. That was okay. I'm pretty intersted in the whole 'shaky camera' thing, so that's kind of how I found this.
