@crazybones2009 It's a bit of a dick move in cricket to not take the catchers word for it. With technology these days if they were lying then the batsman would either be asked to come back after an umpire referral, or they would be hounded in the media the next day as cheats. What is everyone's deal here? Clarke asked him if he was asking and he told him he was 100% sure he took the catch, and he definitely did. Im aussie too but the commentator is a dick to say how can jayawardena and the umpires question this even in the quick reply I had doubts whether it has carried, so he has a right to refer it, even though the gentlemen always takes the fielders word for it. Was a great catch by Clarkey but he sounded a bit too cocky in here

@crazybones2009 It's a bit of a dick move in cricket to not take the catchers word for it. With technology these days if they were lying then the batsman would either be asked to come back after an umpire referral, or they would be hounded in the media the next day as cheats. This is a gentlemans game after all.
