Im sorry but this is not a circus a freak show maybe but definatly not a circus. a disgrace at that! sorry to say that but I am a 7th generation circus performer and this is just sad. It is very apperant that non of these people have ever been in a real performing circus. There is a diffrence in new age performing art and authentic circus performing.
Also, what do you mean authentic circus performing?
A group of people with talents for daring and dangerous things, who throw shows together, and perform under a tent and shout to people to "come one come all come see the show"? Cuz that's what we did.
And not everyone can be a seventh generation circus performer like you. We're STUDENTS. In SCHOOL. We are also writers and filmmakers and playwrights and lighting designers and social activists.
I was part of the sold out audience in Bath Pavilion, the people in there were amazed, and the most frequent comment I heard was 'it was like the best circus act ever' _ it's to do with creativity and vision not just your sterile perfectionist skill mate
glad to see that camp hamp still does groovy stuff on Halloween - the bindlestiffs (some of them alumni themselves) used to do stuff like this - glad to see the torch is still carried.
i think you might have this show confused with another... this was a free performance in October at Hampshire College in Massachusetts, USA... we're a student performance group! and we didn't have programs! (well, we did, but they were never handed out.)
Haha, I attended in the november performance, fun stuff. The guy selling programs yelled at me :( Asked if I wanted change and being the sarcy cow I am I said no. I am £15 poorer...like I care. Anyway, it was a great show.
What IS this??? I go to UMass and there's NOTHING to do on Halloween, you've gotta advertise this stuff around the other four colleges in the area, this looks great!!
