I have lived in S.C. for over 40 years & the City has thrown up road blocks in the way of every owner of the Miramar that has a decent Idea to rebuild it, one of them being that there isn't sufficient parking for an entertainment venue because they said the North Beach lot was for the Beach & Ole Hansen center.. If Playa Del Norte is built where will the parking be then? Until the city council stops thinking revenue, the Miramar will stay in it's current state.
Do the No on A people think a no vote will fix the theater. It won't. The theater and bowling alley are private property and it's up to the owner to fix it. This election is about what we can do, not about what we can't do. The No's use the same referendum scare tactics that prevented the relocation of the sewage treatment plant 25 years ago. Don't fall for it. Do something GREAT for San Clemente - Vote Yes on A!
Building a center on a public beach parking lot & moving the additional parking 1/2 mile up Pico is just plain foolish! The real gateway to San Clemente is the Miramar theater & the bowling alley, yet these two buildings continue to deteriorate & remain vacant. If North Beach is really to be fixed start with what is broken, don't build a band aid. What a wonderful center the theater area could be if paid the attention the L.A.B. is getting! Demolished or rebuilt! Common sense Vote NO on A

Yes on A! I notice the "no on A" crew doesn't allow comments on their videos - probably because the city ALREADY voted it in....
