can someone tell me , why is no one at these games, the stadiums are more than half empty , and its the very best rugby in the world. im irish and must admit this is so much better than norhern hemiphere rugby and yet there seems to be little interest. in europe the stadiums are jam packed for most games and we have nowhwere near this quality - bizarre?

@devoymoe I guess there are loads of reasons. IMO people don't have the same attachment to a 'super rugby franchise' as they do to a team like for example Munster or Gloucester. I used to live in Co. Cork and every 2nd car had a Munster sticker, kids were wearing Munster jerseys. It's in the blood, it's something historic. Plus in Australia, especially in a city like Melbourne, you have so much choice for watching sport it's mind-boggling.

@spiazo Completely agree. The crowd sensed it as well. Watch that last scrum again. Somerville wins it a tight head a split second before the push. Cipriani's just arrogant enough (and good enough) to let fly for a drop goal from the range anyway. How good was Gerrard in defence too? Rebels needed a reality check from the Waratahs who are towelling the Reds as well( Currently up 28-6). Round 1 could have been a distortion of true form.
