That touching the wheels on the water trick killed two young guys in Colorado many years back. One guy was recovered almost 10 years later when the lake "turned over". Looks cool, but if the wheels go a bit deep or catch a wave it flips really fast.

@Nordiclegion I've got a aerobatic sign off that I got in a Citabria which is high wing. Rolls nicely. If I recall, it's dive to about 115 mph, pitch up 15 degrees and hammer the stick into a knee.  Hold until the blue part is on top the windscreen again, then center the stick.

For those that feel water-skimming the tundra tires is "stupid," keep in mind that pilot(s) has the skill and experience of less that probably one quarter of one percent of all pilots. As a pilot, should I go try that? Absolutely not. It would be silly and I'd PROBABLY KILL MYSELF. Do I enjoy seeing a talented/cabale pilot doing it? hell yes. Just because you and I shouldn't do it is no reason to not be in awe and appreciate of the God given talents of others

Water skimming looks cool, but I know where a Cub lies at the bottom of a lake. Tell me you are able to predict wind and water surfaces well enough to ensure that you'd NEVER dip a wing and cartwheel! Thats nice. I know of numerous places where people got wiped out in cars doing nothing. This guy is in an airplane by himself making a conscious choice. What does being a licensed pilot have anything to do with it? I know people who do riskier things without planes. Do you search out the other videos of airplanes skimming water and dump on them too? While you're griping about errant winds do you consider physics? Its what keeps quads, bikes, and cars on top of deep water at speed without wings.
