  • This is Astoria, Oregon. Look up "Historic Astoria" and "Shot in Astoria." It is the oldest European American settlement west of the Mississippi. And some really good movie were filmed there, like The Goonies!

  • Wow, this jam is soooo mello! I love it. The video is great, nice style. Camera -pan left, cut to drums, zoom-in, cut to guitar, pan right, cut to bass, pan diagonal, cut to xylophones, zoom-out. Easy, simple, brilliant!!

  • Hey i'm in Ptown too!!!

  • I LOVE THIS BAND!!!

  • saw them yesterday at Austin City Limits. So rockin' man!

  • Such an amazing band!!! Waiting for them to come to the east coast...

  • drummer looks like leo messi

  • Its a mellow song and I havent even heard the band but nice instrumentation, acoustic guitar, drums, violins, and xilophone. Nice aesthetics too, I like how they add the violins on the chorus, and the xilophone before the chorus. Very Nice and decent.

  • the song are sensible

  • It's just the natural cycle of underground music (or anything underground for that matter). People love to like things that no one else knows about. Eventually indie music will get mainstream, if it's not already, but I don't see how thats a bad thing. Yeah sure, a bunch of shit "indie" bands will appear, but if more people get to hear awesome music like this. Is that really that bad?

  • nice song......remember when that old building was a net storage and boat hoist? Spent a few hours of my life in there mending net and shooting the shit with the old boys..Somewhere I read that the bldg was severely damaged in a big storm that pounded the lower river...and there wasnt any insurance on it to fund reconstruction or something

  • The very first few chords of the acoustic guitar reminds me of a different song, but I can't recall the name of the song right now. Someone suggest some songs that remind you of a different song when listening to the acoustic guitar please.

  • I saw blind pilot about a year ago supporting counting crows, they were really good, and this song is great

  • I just discovered them myself, Amazing band.

  • This is a cool video!!! I remember seeing this before! Still cool!

  • i like his shoes. haha ok i like EVERYTHING in this video.. :)

  • Guys! You`re are one of the coolest music bands! I loveeeeeee your music I hope someday you can come to Chile and listening to your awesome songs! :D

  • waters 0303..yah same here just found them out and they are fucking amazing..blind pilot my favorite, you shoud play it at your wedding..

  • exact

  • welcome to the new mainstream, kiddies.

  • no.

  • @animegalc4 denial is the first stage

  • well, it's just not true. what makes you think it is?

if it is, then it's a miracle

  • @animegalc4 go turn on your T.V., listen to the commercials, how many either have licensed indie music or indie-esque ambient bullshit.

marketing is a direct reflection of the mainstream, and the mainstream is made up of ironic t-shirt wearing hipsters.

  • that's an interesting point. but when will people actually start listening to the music that's played in adverts? people can hum the tunes but few people want to actually get the music. besides people have been using obscure music in advertisements for years and i've seen no revelations.

  • @animegalc4 it's another step in exploiting the "underground" music scene and turning it into a formulated fashion, it happened to the Hippies, it happened to the Punks, it happened to Metal, Grunge, and Emo, and now it's happening to Indie.

  • @OneRadRudeboy just listen to what's natural to you and let others listen to what's natural to them. there's no need to get pretentious about music. roaming around youtube videos of music you don't like certainly won't get you very far in life.

  • @flameagent I was suggested this video by a friend, senior presumptuous.

  • @OneRadRudeboy Man who cares what everyone else listens to and what they wear? I love indie music, music in general really. But I dont get people like you that think youre intellectual or sophisticated because you listen to a band. Yeah sure, you look deeper into music, I respect that, Im the same way. But its nothing to get mad about or think youre better than somebody because of it. Its music. Its supposed to be enjoyed. If people want to listen to Beyonce and wear "hippie" clothes, let them.

  • @lkechl18 Man, who cares about people who are trolling? I love trolling and pissing people of in general really. But I don't get people like you that think you're the white knight defender of peace and harmony cos you try and moderate mild flame wars. It's nothing to write a paragraph about, it's the internet, it's all a big joke. If people are getting trolled, let them.

  • @OneRadRudeboy ...congratulations?

  • @OneRadRudeboy Commerce is what moves the underground towards the surface. Indie is already formulated fashion and you wanting to keep a great band all to yourself is hipster garbage. Greatness finds it's way to the yearning ear.

  • @nodusn01 and moving an industry towards the surface is what usually cheapens its original message (whatever your hipster message may be).

Hippie fashion bastardized peace loving, punk fashion trivialized rebellion, grunge fashion made apathy a complete joke, emo fashion made ACTUAL teenage depression a questionable malady, and indie fashion is going to make... well I have no idea what since modern hipsters have no creed, just aimless ironic t-shirt wearing drones.

  • @OneRadRudeboy So we're all supposed to run out and look for new music every time music starts getting mainstream? Where's the originality in that? You want to be original for simply for the purpose of being original? Well then you're just like everyone else.. You are original if you are original.. People trying to stand out are just as bad at people trying to fit in.. Be yourself and stop thinking about what everyone else thinks of you.. Listen to what ever goddam music you want to!

  • @OneRadRudeboy

Perhaps the deep indie fashion cannot be pushed towards the surface, as it relies on being as submerged as it can possibly be.

  • young people, however, will definitely want to listen to music they hear on the radio or in clubs because most people are sheep and will listen to anything, and independent music is never on the radio or played in clubs. thus loads of kids dress like hipsters but listen to beyonce.

  • @OneRadRudeboy see it's been a year now, nothing has changed.

  • @OneRadRudeboy little ska boy is still stuck in middle school. you're such a rebel, buddy.

  • @flameagent struck a nerve did I?

  • awesome

  • exceptionnel!!!
