@stunjanino Are you redlining it? i got 67mph out of my '06 at 10,000rpm, but the second i got above 60 the acceleration was so slow. Try taking your bike on a long long road, and give it ago. If it literally is capped at 60mph, perhaps there's a mechanical fault, and on a YBR its not worth your time finding it.
nice ride, enjoyed that. re the comments on the windshield slowing you down.....on the contrary. i wouldnt run a bike without one. your torso and helmeted head offer far more drag than a well angled and adjusted shield which pushes the air cleanly around you. also if the screen is at a hight that you can just see over it, rainwater clears from you visor. also you dont get buffeted around so much. all round bonuses!
@geoffart When applying a windshield with apropiate size, meaning that the air will flow just above your helmet, you will actually get a higher top speed;) Imagine the windshield taking the air versus your upper body taking the air;)
sure, but it would have to depend on the size of the windshield. If you have a massive wind shield then at some point you might be redirecting more air than the human body in an upright sitting position.
on these bikes there isnt really a power band . powerbands r mainly 2 strokes these have pretty much the same power throughout the rev range about 5000 rpm .
yeah I know it's slightly aperceivable on this engine but, believe me, going over 7500 rpm (out of a maximum 11'000) brings no good: the bike loses power and torque at those ranges and has a hard time gaining speed.
Instead, the push is pretty strong from just 2500 rpm, great for urban driving.

five stars just for the way you shift within the power band.
And wow, that enormous windshield may be a curse with trucks nearby but it definitely saved you from the impact with a big insect!!! (top left)
