My brother went through basic and is finishing his senior year in high school. After that he goes onto AIT and then they are shipping him out. They keep changing the place he is going after AIT but wherever it is it will probably be far. Thank you to all the men and women in the military and God bless!
I have to say I'm lucky to have my brother still with me, even though he's at a possibility of not coming back until 2013 and he's been gone since september and that was 10 days and before that i hadn't seen him since June, but at least he's still here.
AMAZING!!!! My Dad got back from Iraq awhile ago but this song makes me remember the pain of him going to Iraq, but it also makes me understand i don't truly know the pain of war cause i haven't lost anyone to war yet(well that i know of i don't know my entire family)

My oldest brother just left for Afghanistan yesterday, he has 4 kids a wife and a family who loves him. I pray he comes home safe and sound. I have always looked up to him he is 14 years older to me, khe filled the dad spot for me. My other brother had 2 tours to Iraq I am so happy he is out of the marines and safe at home. The best thing for all us to do is support each other because we're all going through the same thing. And it is so hard. My big brother Matthew Jacob Mcclellan age 17, Died a few weeks ago, Him and I were so close, I never pictured it being him, This songs reminds me of how it was when I found out, My brother was missing for 2 days and he was found dead, He was in foster care but he did like it there, They were so mean to him, He always wanted to move home with us :( And now he finally got his wish to be home, It is just sad it had to happen like this though, I miss him :(

He ran up to me and hugged me and we just stood there hugging, I didn't want him to see me cry so when we said our goodbyes I went into my classroom and bursted into tears. my big brother was always a hero of mine. we aren't as close as we used to be... and i hate it. my first son is due in may, and he's named after him. my brother won't see him when he's born. on april 13 the navy is sending him over seas.
i'm going to miss him so badly.

I was reading a few coments here and I see so many people who lost someone, and I'm thinking: It is so sad! While we celebrate others are crying near somone's grave!
Tomorrow is 8th March, but let's kepp that away from our minds for a minute and stay silent for those who lost their lives. Let's be different and show that people are not machienes, let's cry a tear for those who are away... PLEASE!

Im so sorry for the lose of your brother! but Im grateful for his and your families sacrifice(protecting me,my three precoius kids,my very best true friend Shine,and my whole family and friends) and I have four brothers but two are alot older than me so i didnt grow up with them but two i did and ny lil brother Sam is one of my best friends ,always has been!! I love you Sammy!!!

my brother passed away. he was walking home from school, and he saw me and ran towards me. when a drunk driver passed and could not stop. my dear brother was my life. he was all i had i'd sing to him and hold him when he was scared. i love him and miss him. i wish that i could hold him once more. he was wearing a cute suit for his 2nd grade graduation. he had his back pack and was screaming my name.

I was crying when i first heard this song cause my brother has been overseas starting at three years. My brother is my mamas only son. He's my hero if he wasn't there when my parents got in to fights i wouldn't have anyone to run too. I pray to god along with my mother to keep him safe along with the others. This song brings tears to my eyes. My brother recently went off to the navy, and he was my hero. I've always looked up to him, and I'm so proud of him. I just want my big brother to be happy, and when he left i was so hurt, for weeks. I try to get stronger everyday, but it's not that easy. I pray that God will watch over my brother always, and to keep him, and the others safe. But when i hear this song it reminds me of him, and my brother will always be my hero! :) May God bless him!

I'm in the Air Force ROTC program at my school and my sis's bf is gonna leave for boot camp in the Army in July and it worries me to think one day it will be me or my sister there, and i might loose them. I'm proud of all of our troops and what they've done for us. If you can't stand behind our troops you can stand in front of them!!!
