Shortly:

I think its about someone how betrayed the singer (David in this case) and now that dude get seen like a hero for something that the singer did.

Then he says that he won't let him win and that he won't let people see him like the hero.

Then I think (But not sure about this part) that he's going to let everyone now that he's not the hero but that the singer that is. So now he will be embernched of what he did.
