Appalachian is a fantastic school. I personally picked them over UNC, NCSU, and UVA. The key is to not get caught up in the prestige. I have had professors from schools such as Columbia, Georgetown, and UCLA, all three being top school for my program (History).
Appalachian is the school for you if you enjoy snow, a quaint small town environment, and medium sized student body, and all of the perks that come with each.
I can't speak to Tennessee, but I LOVE App and I am a Senior.

The reason why that got blocked was that the end guy for Michigan was suppose to block Lynch number 47 who got the block. You always block the inside guy or its an easy block.
App St is a great team 3 straight FCS national titles but this was michigans fault missed a block which resulted to blocked fg they came into this game thinking it was a cake walk never underestimate your opponent

I voted for this game to win the espn espy for upset of the year. I am aware that the Giants beating the Patriots in the superbowl won it and was a upset. The Giants were ahead of the Patriots when they played in the regular season. So we knew NYG could hang with the Pats. Yes the Pats were favored by double digits. 5th ranked Michigan was probably favored by more than 20 over a Division 1AA team. Plus it was at Michigan. This should have been biggest upset.

yes we all know michigan wasnt as good as we thought they would be last year, but put it into perspective, everyone thought michigan was supposed to be a national championship contender durin the preseason. that is like montana goin INTO usc, and knockin off the trojans... even if the trojans ended up havin an ok season after that, we would still all be shocked that a divion 1-AA team knocked out a powerhouse like michigan was at the time.

Appalachian State is the best team in the division 1-AA. they're really good. They won they're division championship like 100 times.

Doesn't justify humiliating yourselves at home to them. It was the first time a ranked team lost to a Division-1AA team and the first time a top 5 team dropped out of the rankings completely after 1 loss. Ever wonder why? You can't justify this loss anymore than you could justify losing at home to Toledo.
