  • Great vids. Thanks for posting. What song is this, please?

  • Love your video and your Mum's adorable! I am going to try this method. I have quite a few jeans that I would love to wear again. Thank- you!

  • Great instruction aside, I find the very beginning cute: you both seem to supply the same life and prettiness from your respective age group - looking so similar and all. Goes to show some people can kind of glow at every stage of life.

  • Thanks for this video, I just set up my friend's brand new sewing machine so I could fix my jeans using this technique. The repair looks very sturdy, so thanks for a useful video!

  • Very professional work & presentation

Can you show us how to patch a big hole in the crotch area? It's no joke...I got a very nice pair that 's a waste that got torn apart in the middle area

    Plz help!

  • Good video. When I patch/darn denim I use either a paper towell or a dryer sheet as my backing. Then It is much easier to trim or tear off the excess. I also use a 3 step zigzag which makes three little stitches in each zig instead of just one. It makes a nice flat stitch that really anchors the two edges together.

If you can catch a rip before it is huge, you can use a wide 3 step zig zag without a backer and just sew the edges right back together with a nearly invisible seam.

  • This was very helpful. I like how unnoticeable the stitches are. You guys are really cute. I'll have to try this out. How long did this take?

  • Thats such an amazing patch! you wouldnt know it was there!

  • Extremely useful tutorial, my husband will be happy to see that I have restored many of his favorite jeans!

    Thank you so much!

  • Thats too Professional Can you fix my Jeans Please

  • i am sooo glad i came across this video! i would loove to do this to my pants ! thinking of using leopard fabric maybe too!(:

  • I think a better and smoother job can be achieved gluing and ironing the patch on the inside first, using fabric glue.

But all that stuff really is........is wood glue.

Then there's no need for pinning, and you just go to town with the sewing machine........And Bob's your uncle.

    And it's easier too

  • This is an awesome video! Mama knows best!

  • I always get rips in my crotch area. :\

  • @pyeclam then do it by hand:(

  • wow very nice done! i want to do this to my jeans too!

  • what about when you don't own a sewing machine or you're mending children's pants, like a six year old's.

  • Maybe an iron-on patch? Depending on where the hole is, a iron-on patch on a child's pair of pants would look very cute. Or you can pay a tailor to mend it for you.

  • @dustythebob i have a rip in mine too. i need a women who can sew.

  • @sim0b Just learn how to sew yourself! Geesh..

  • You Ladies are awesome!!! I can't wait to fix my own jeans now! (^_^) I inherited my mom's old 1970's Singer machine and just started (less than a year ago) on actually using it. And let me tell you everyone should just try . . . thanks to youtube and reading the manual yes she kept the manual. LOL Since i'm really trying to penny pinch these days . . . it has been such a life saver. thought i'd share. for who'd read. hehe lengthy sowie curiousdoodles. =X k then ty again! *grins*
