  • A Verizon employee gets good Verizon service in his home? OH!!! MY!!!! GOD!!!!

  • Had 27mb this morning with optimum boost, had fios installed, now getting from 12 to 18mb. I switched because i thought it was better. It's all the same. By the way, only after telling optimum that I was quitting did I get 27mb speeds, it has been avergaing the same a fios until then.

  • except they only offer like 7 down which would be like 900kb/s

  • @GoingBonkz101

    1024KBps = 1 Mbps

  • 8 euro/mo for 100mbps in Romania. My country is ranked second after korea at speed and second after bulgaria at price/mb.It it no bullshit, checkout netindex.

  • i feel like paying $200 for the 150mbps lol

  • Verizon can eat a dick. I'm paying for what they claim is 100mbps service, but I'm consistently getting 20mbps and at times as low as 2mbps! When I call customer service, they INSIST nothing is wrong with my connection. Fucking con artists, is what they are.

  • @Garuda1337 Dude you consistently get 20MBPS? That's 200MB You dipshit. Why the fuck you said.

  • @MrGodlyAss Because I'm paying money for 5 times that amount? You ass.

  • @Garuda1337 You mean 100MB not 100MBPS. Dick head.

  • @MrGodlyAss Wrong.

  • @Garuda1337 Having the same fucking problem. I have FIOs 35/35 and i cant seem to break 19 upload. they tell me " we dont guarantee any speeds OUTSIDE the verizon network". Who the fuck needs speed WITHIN the verizon network????

  • @njalvino Bring the router to the ont. connect it directly to ont( eliminating your wiring) and see what you get there. If its still the same then you can tell them "there is a problem and it has nothing to do with my network". The other thing is are you using ethernet or WiFi?

  • @Garuda1337 Funny how I only had that problem with AT&T...

  • lolol Look at this guy's browser. What the fuck kind of MSN 5.5 shit is this? Also, the speed test graphics look like models taken from Ski Free. Ah, 2007...we were all so young.

  • I'm getting my 35/35 on Tuesday! Amazing how we used to think 88 megabits was fast!

  • 2011 and Verizon still cant get anything over 100mbps to work properly.

  • Currently have the 15/5 connection, waiting for a switch over to the 25/25 connection (albeit, it's owned by Frontier now). I've never even heard of a 100 mbps connection being available for home use, but what's with the ridiculous download and crap upload speed?

  • Dunno why theyu bother pushing this. They're not bringing it to anymore new places, and sold the rights to the lines they were going to use. They've stopped expanding fios, so don't expect it to reach your area if it hasn't already. I could give a shit really, because that 100mb service is RIDICULOUSLY expensive. When the prices for over 50mb stop being so fucking pretentious I'll buy in. Until then I'll stick with what I have, which is still fast as fuck.

  • You should use SpeedTest net, not the tampered Verizon site

  • Is he.... is he using MSN explorer? what the....

  • shitty computer

  • I get 50 down, 35 up with my fios connection

  • MSN Explorer???!!?!?!? WTF?!?!?!?!?!

  • That connection is pretty bad now. It used to be inpressive but as you can see this vid is about 3-4 years old so.

  • so ya fork out 20 million bucks for the special cable? who in the fuk would need anything more then 10 megabit unless they are a huge business,an isp, or a pirate/thief lol

P.s. the best made coax is 50 ohm so 500 megabyte/sec is limited to no longer then about 2 inches of cable.... useless... glass cable is much better.

  • @Me102288 were not a business we have 7 computers in this house most of which use games on the pc then we got systems that are online 2 ps3 a wii and a n xbox we need over 10 so we dont lag and timewarner is ten mbps and they spike so were going for a better connection that doesnt spike and fuck up what were doing

  • @venom41392 family of 15?

  • With Cox i have the 20mb/s and speedtest shows 111mb/s so verizon can go die :)

  • all these people claiming 100meg are full of it,, OR they are measuring bits not bytes, especially the people w/ cable claiming these speeds. an rg6 quad jacket coaxl cable under perfect lab conditions( which is certainly not the case out in the field) is only good for 100meg, and thats if your dealing with about 100' of coaxl.

  • @joeyhol75 it actually possible to hit 500 mb/s with COAX cables so do your research :) look up DOCSIS3

Im in the U.K. and getting 100 mb on virgin media (speedtests arround 90/95 mb/s constant throughout the day)

and virgin are doing trials for a 200 mb service also over COAXL cable :)

  • @joeyhol75 yes, they're bs'ing because they lack the grey matter to realize even 50 ohm coax can't take that over a single conductor.

And if they could, dsl over phone lines would be the way to go lol (4 conductors)

  • I want this but i can only get 35/35 in Fios for my area so i went with Cablevision Ultra

  • my dad used to use the msn browser! but just recently they wanted money for it or something... lol

  • HOW IS YOUR UPLOAD SPEED FASTER THAN MY DOWNLOAD SPEED HOLY SHIT

  • im getting fios monday and i wanna see because everyone said it is greattttttttt

  • My download is .750mbps. I win. No, not really.

  • I have fios 35/35 the last time I tested it the result was 43/36 mega bits. The kb per sec rate for the download speed was around 5440 kb per second. It's crazy awesome

  • I get 101 down and 15 down with Cablevision ultra

  • Omg an mp3 in 3 seconds instead of 4.5! That's worth the incredibly terrible customer service.

  • @kenfo0 no he is right 87 Mbps (megabits per second) is about 11 MBps or 11 MB / sec (megabytes per second) like he wrote it.

  • This was 3 year ago I want to know if anyone really has this. I know it is real but I want to know why it's not mainstream.

  • Really? 87 down and 9 up? Is that still the case today?

  • this guy must be in marketing, as he seems none too bright AND drunk (with those qualifications, he didn't need any marketing training). All he had to do was practice getting "initialization" right, for 2 weeks.

  • Could use this while playing swat in halo 3, thats like, almost the same as playing on LAN haha

  • wow his max speed is 11MB / sec, pretty good. If you want to know how, you gotta divide by 8 to get the solution

  • @cOriticAl go back and pay attn in math class next time.

  • Why would I use a verizon speedtest site to get an impartial measurement of a verizon connection? Use a non-verizon site if you want to prove anything to anyone.

  • All that speed and they cant even get a decent computer. whats with that shirty keyboard, tiny screen and no brand speakers. What a waste!

  • can't wait to get fios i currently have earthlink (Time Warner in disguise) with a very un reliable 1.40mb connection with 7 devices on the same router,i.e. internet hell.1 mb to 25mb is a big step up for me

  • holy shit i only get about 1.5 megs

  • so i also have verizon fios 25/down/25 up package which is great!. lowest ping i get s 6ms. But why does youtube videos load slow? other services are fine.

  • What happened to the internet being free soon.....geez...it all seems to be going up in price!!!!!

  • I have Fios and it's slow on Youtube very often (for videos that aren't popular).

  • @Phead128 it's youtube's bandwidth limit.

  • His head doesn't fit his body :l

  • i have verizon they suck....always thier servise is down or limited connectity ...on the week ends you cant surf for shit ...right now the pictures are not loading on sat

  • This connection is average. What no one notices, is that it measures in megaBITS per second, not megaBYTES, which is what most people think when they see MB, because it is a common measurement. Verizon and most internet companies measure and display their speeds in megabits, because it has the same abbreviation as megabytes, but a megabit is roughly a third of a megabyte, it is a completely different measurement, one being size and one speed, but they know that a lot of people don't know that.

  • @Killm0re A megabyte is MB, a megabit is Mb. Both are units of size and can be displayed as speed if you put it over a second. Mbps (megabits per second)

MBps or MB/sec (megabytes per second).

There are 8 bits in a byte. There are roughly 8 megabits in a megabyte but you'll see that since bytes use increments of 1024 instead of 1000, this is not 100% conv. It is much better to use BITS because of all the controversy revolving around Mibibytes and Megabytes with the hard drive industry.

  • what a great webbrowser! what is the name of the webbrowser??

and what is the link of the speedtest??/

  • wtf was this filmed in 2001? Using MSN and what appears to be an "internet PC"

  • you know what is funny is that a system can not really run at 100mps with files... HDD speeds are a choke point...

  • @randalljames1 Not true, I get 500-600 megabit solid out of my drives internally.

  • @jeffm4688 really now.... I suggest you download and run a "reliable" drive speed tester.. You can find "claims" up to 6gbs but it aint going to happen... If you can hit 100Mps.. you are smoking right along.. (you can copy a 100G drive in in just a few minutes?) nope....

  • @randalljames1 Doesn't get any more reliable then transferring data through a local gigabit network link now does it? I PMD YOU THE PIC.

take a look at that, thats 9 times faster then the verizon "100 Mbs"

So lets do some calculations. According to your stats, a hard drive can't even reach 100 megabits per second, which = roughly 10 megabytes per second. so. transferring a 100GB drive would take roughly

    10MB - sec

    100MB - 10 sec

    600MB - a min

  • @randalljames1 6GB - 10 min 36GB - an hour 108GB - 3 hours. that means roughly 3 hours to transfer 100GB of data. Now at my speed, which i GET clearly shown. it would take. 90MB - sec 900MB - 10 sec 5400MB - a min 54000MB - 10 min which means it would take 18 MINUTES to transfer a 100GB file through my hard drive, which is a standard 7200RPM drive, and the SERVER is a lousy little PENTIUM 4. so yeah.
  • Comment removed

  • @jeffm4688 Ok so you send me a pic with a 90mps data transfer from an local disk to a local disk.. That is a NOT even close to 500-600 mps.. the 10% jump from 90mps to 100mps is a tough one.. We wont even go into the fact that you are lucky to hit 2mps on a download to most any website..

btw, what does the 90mps shot prove when you are claiming up to 600mps?

  • yup im a technitian of verizon fiber optics and this is really awesome

  • 9 upload? That seems a bit slow for nearly 90 down. But I can't complain, I have 3Mb/s down and .5Mb/s up.

  • I can download over 80 mb/s on good days, because I pay for this speed through my ass at college.

  • BTW, Korean service only costs $29.00 a month.

  • What a joke. Korea has 100 MBps in 94% of all their homes. What the government did was help to computers and for house wives who didn't know how to use them they taught them. Korea is setting up a program to have 1 GBps in all homes by 2013, 1 GBps!!!

Japan has Kizuna which will provide satellite internet @ speeds of 155 MBps for homes and 1 GBps for businesses, what's America doing?

  • FOR REAL! BIG HOUSE SHITTY COMPUTER!

  • 100MBPS In 2007 500MBPS In 2010...

  • @iTweet2010 It's 2010. Where is it?

  • fucking awesome i work for dsl in mexico i get 1mb on my connection lol

  • plz only u get that speed Fios tops at 50mbs and Cablevison Ultra is 101Mbs so thats simple how the winner is

  • Lucky, Are neighbor hood is to stupid to kick comcasts ass to the curb where they belong. I wish they would get fio's though it is a way better deal for the money and the quality of service.

  • Japan has Fiber Optic lines with Internet speeds exceeding 160MB/s download.

Unfortunately in my area, FIOS isn't available, at least in the neighborhood I live in.

The fastest thing is "Comcast" which is one of the worst companies ever and I really hate their guts. ; )

Which is why I'm either stuck with using my 5mb/s DSL at $35/month or upgrading to Comcast $63/month at roughly 15-20MB/s speeds.

    Then again, I hate Comcast/NBC.

Japanese are paying approx. $30/month for 160mb/s speeds, awesome.

  • @NassimHarameinVedas We could be living in Canada, they have restrictions on their smart phones and home internet usage

  • look at that big house lots of money to spend

  • Since residential users have had their upstream increased to 20mbit/sec on Verizon FIOS, I wonder if this employee's upstream is better than 10Mbits nowadays?

  • Nice connection men 5/5

  • the U.S. IS a 3rd world country.

  • 120mbps in Poland cost's 200 zlote/month which is 65$.

  • 1mbps in curacao cost $65 so sad

  • @KrWawyLeon <=== Really? Thats great, I wonder what the average income per month is in Poland. . .

All I know is that the only country that has never conquered Poland is actually Poland . . . ; )

And when I lived in Germany You guys would "liberate" fine german automobiles from their oppressive deutschen owners ; )

Also You can't spell Pollution without the first 3 letters of Poland, in any case its been fun, just pick up after Yourself for Christ sakes, the Pope wasn't a slob why are You?

  • Average income in my city (Warsaw) is very similar to european average... and Poland is the only country in EU with growing economy. Read more. spam less:)

  • @KrwawyLeon <=== "Read More, Spam less" Thanks for the advice, I'll make sure to pass it on next time I drive through the smog congestion/pollution I mean nuclear waste traffic. Also I'll make sure to pass on this info to the most unenlightened and backwards political/bureaucrats the other sane Europeans have ever seen. I really pity the young progressive thinkers and people, oh thats right, they're getting the fuck out. Peace out. Oh and Poland still sucks. ; )
  • peeps im doin 23kb\s n i still kik it..llolz

  • @samer199023 <=== Are You serious? I got 2mb/s actual Comcast download speed on a 25,000kbps comcast connection and I still think it's not fast enough compared to fiber optic in Japan and europe.

can't imagine going back to 600kb/s let alone 23kb/s . . . shit man, You are a patient person thats for sure.

Even with a fast connection YT and other sites lag and tick me off. 23kb/s thats not very "productive". Takes You all day to download 1 PDF, jesus bro LOL :)

  • @NassimHarameinVedas ....i knw man it aint productive..im just tryna give u guys a contrast u knw wt i mean....we a developing country...so this where we are right now.

  • @KrwawyLeon in sweden 1000 mbps home network via fiber costs around 99$

  • @goodigel151151 it was a year ago, 120mbps now cost about 33$. But Sweden always had one of the best connections in the world

  • @KrwawyLeon And 100mbps 33$

  • @KrwawyLeon 25mbps FiOS in Poughkeepsie, NY is over $80 a month. We're getting raped terribly here in the United States.

  • @KrwawyLeon 100mbps optical lan in South Korea is 25000 won/ month which is $25

  • @KrwawyLeon and if your family uses more then 3 cellphones from the same provider as your internet, 100mbit internet is free. Yay :D

  • @koreajong Damn that's great. I've always seen Korea as the best example for Poland in terms of economical and technological transformation

  • that because of are lazy azz political figures in the house that are doing nothing but rising taxes and pocketing the money !!!!!!!

  • ROFL your upload is like 20 times faster than my download. CLEARWIRE BLOWS

  • In Japan they got 60 MB minium and 1GB at 50$ month

  • Sucks, but the Pole is right...US is way behind when if comes to broadband speeds.

  • lol we have 120mbps in Poland availble anywhere in Warsaw..talk about third world countries;D

  • third world countries is such a old and inacurrate term

  • @KrwawyLeon If thats really true in Japan they have 60MB minium and 1GB per $50 usd month

  • FIOS is basically the fastest you can get right now

  • haha we in austria could get 100mbps

  • that's because austria is the size of new jersey.

the u.s.a. has a bit more AREA to cover and ping.

But no worries, we have our Fiber optics now. :)

  • how much does it cost for them to run the wire to your house from the vault

  • Verizon Fios. Readily Available.......just not where you live.

  • @Luke5119 Available in like what... 5% of the fucking nation? Comon, I fucking live in a nice big area with tons of providers but no Verizon FiOS or any other fiber optic service. It's bullshit. I WANT MY 50 MB/S DOWN NOW!

  • @malicios It's much more expensive to install fiber in areas with high density compared to smaller cities/out in the country because of all the digging involved. Which is why the bigger the city, the lower chance you can get fiber.. Unfortunately.

  • @Amivit So philadelphia and new york must be small towns. Your long distance back hauls are fiber already, and rural areas have less subscribers / per meter of cable. Fiber is not always underground, we have Ariel here.

  • @bobfrapples37 Oh, in that case my theory could be way off - that's just the experience I've so far.

  • asshole

  • The bad part is that Verizon FIOS blocks out sooo many ports.

    It handicaps the Internet.

  • not really you can reroute to other ports, they block it to prevent spam and hacking

  • spamming via none web/email ports?

ports in which spamming is done are wide open.

  • the sad thing is with my crappy village connection i can't even watch the video bufferfree ..

they should build out the internet more in landly areas who needs a 100 mbits if you had 20 mbits before and the people who may just live 4 km's away have not even 1 mbit -.-

  • since verizon fios ads are ALL over my frontpage right now... faked to look like vids with 5 stars...

Verizon: i live in RTP NC ... isnt it a shame that home of the east coasts IT hub can't get residential fiber unless you live in select area of durham?

    go blow yourself verizon

  • lmao, my video has me paying 15 bucks for 20/20 connection.

    this one sucks.

  • i wanna try fios

i don't think its available in my area though :[

  • even if this was a actual test, he is only uploading/downloading to the nearest hub...

hence its NOT a valid test.

  • Why is that guy using the msn browser? Really?

  • @LucrativeFuture

Verizon markets the msn browser. Comes with their "install cd".

  • @LucrativeFuture obvious is obvious to anyone who isnt stupid. that is windows browser there fore he isnt really advertising anything but a simple computer.

  • @LucrativeFuture Because he's probably some higher up dork, not really technically inclined, that figured they should jump on this new fangled social media/viral video craze. Truth be told, Verizon although a seemingly evil company, provides the best quality of service across the board.

  • i have telus

  • my god fios you suck. comcast only charges 100$ 50/25 and the upload on it especially keeps stable. my 30 meg ultra package from comcast get at least 12mb upload at times. in this video they only got 9mb upload with 3 times my download speed. wtf...

  • its a field test not an actual service play comcast uses cable coax that only handles 8 second burst of speed fiber cable can handle up to 100 gbps coax cant

  • yes that is very true every company uses fiber optics but they dont run a fiber line to your house only to your area and they split it up with you and like 1000 other people so fios wont have traffic say everyone in my area has fios and we all get on and start downloading a file we wont have any speed loss but say everyone here has comcast and wel all start to download

we will totaly fry comcast servers haha aka slow it down

  • Comcast does use fiber but its only to the node. From the node to the home its coax/copper. FiOS gives you 100% fiber all the way to your house and 2.4GBps worth of speed is shared with only up to 32 homes. Comcast can share a node with up to 500 homes.

  • my god that was 2 years ago

  • comcast is garbage compared to FiOS... I bet you dont consistently get 50Mbps.. During the day I bet that shit drops when everyone else in your neighborhood is downloading stuff. My FiOS connection has NEVER dropped and not to mention the TV is better too.

  • ApFaqTech young man who apply for DOUBLE PLAY ???????????????Double play is generaly for those who goes on budget right ? TRIPLE PLAY is for normal household which may get you around $130+ /with 2 HD boxes and their sick tax charges (that price is without premium channels)..... any way Cable bill is not "around" cable bill is alway the same ... no BS charges and hidin garbage ................, Looking at your You tube name ,move AP after FAQ but before TECH ....It will match you brains better

  • I switched from optimum online a few months ago to fios...couldn't have asked for better internet service. No bandwidth capping, no extra charges, and most of all no internet outages in the neighborhood.

  • and it cost out the ass to

  • Sorry Everyone I am an Agent for Verizon fios and we dont have a 100 mbits only 50mbits. lol

  • lier

  • ok so that is great for sa-mp (gta san andreas multiplayer) no more lag but too bad i have fricken cablevision with fukin lag after fuckin 10 minutes

  • 100 mbits for 200$ a month,ahahahahahhaha!

  • yes 50/20 is our subscription, but I often get beyond 40. Today I just tested at 93 mbps and 8.7 mbps upload.

  • We have Bellsouth fiber optic here in Louisiana, and currently speedtests come in between 70-80 mbps and 8 mbps upload. So this is definitely possible. When it was first launched in our area, we actually tested to 97 mbps at one point. Fiber is definitely the way to go if you can access it.

  • What that guy do...hmmmmmmmmmmm possibly - rip off people like you and me, do not look at speed of connection but at you VERIZON BILL. Accountants are on SPEED and not 20/5 or 25/25 or 25/15 or 100/1000 but 24/7/365 :):):):),and that is a problem

  • lier lier lier...he he....i have verizon double play and I am only being charged around 75 bucks including taxes. hehe...hmmmmmm does not sound that bad.....:):):):)

  • So what EXACTLY does this guy do at Verizon (what position) to have such a house?

Anyway, that's nice and all but their prices are insane.

Broaband has been around since like the late 90's yet companies still charge around $50 for 2 MB/s connection (download speed), get over your fucking selves and lower that to like $20-25 a month!

These connections speeds like in the video should be $50-60 but no more!!!!

They are actually like more than a hundred bucks a month!

  • fake... dude im a fios agent and i see slow thru put issues all day... first.. our internal speedtest or the site's looks nothing like that... and the max we go for RESIDENTIAL accounts is 25/25... you if anything are using a BUSINESS account...

  • You're kidding right? 50/20 is the actual speeds for residential, also it depends on how your computer is configured by it's bandwidth, and the speeds that sites actually will allow you to achieve. If you're really an 'agent' you'd realize 25/15 is your second option not 25/25. They don't give you an elevated speed for downstream and upstream, it's always 10 off or 25 off for upstream. Also, it depends on your residency and where you're located to even have the option this guy has. Idiot.
  • you failed lol... just released the speeds. ive t/s a few of them... go on our site and look... and yeah speed go hand in hand.. you have to adjust your tcp/ip settings... with fios especially make sure your rwin number is at least one million four.... did you know that? lol didnt think so... failed...

  • You're not from FiOS. You 'fail.' lol.

Sad, because my connection alone from my

residential 'estate' by FiOS gets 69MB downstream

and it's 45MB upstream. So, don't think this is fake.

    Idiot.

  • fine w/e regardless i do work for them but i dont have to prove that lol... dont hate that i have a job and you can only bash others on youtube with a job...

  • I'm not bashing you, at all. I was implying that it is

rather possible so if you're taking what I said as a

negative comment toward then you then I apologize.

    But, again I'm not bashing.

Also, I have a job too! Congratulations.

  • Actually the max for residential customers is 50/20...or is the upstream 30? I dont know, but I know for sure the max download right now is 50.

  • You guys are retarded look at the description. Hes an employee why wouldn't he have that much speed. >_>";

  • that's not 80KB/s!!! It's 87mbps, which is roughly 10,000KB/s download, That's insane download speed.

  • FiOS FTW!!!

  • I have Verizon...I get 80KB/S for about $25 a month...

  • 3.5Mb for £42 ($70) with 90GB peak and unmetered off-peak, live in a little village.

    £22 for 24Mb Unmetered in towns/cities.

  • this video was made 2 years ago, we're getting close to 2010, come on Verizon, give us 100M connection for a reasonable price already =D

  • Are you people stupid, this is a Verizon employee, he is a tester for the new high speed tiers .. they give it to them first, as a test .. work out bugs and any issues that may crop up.

Then later they deploy it mainstream.

  • DUR! Look at me! I have fuckin' 87 Mb/s because I've got lots of money for a super fancy connection!

    Well, FUCK YOU!

I'm just fine with my fuckin' Clearwire that give me... like... an average of 0.3 Mb/s... and barely ever lets me play online games... and constantly changes frequency even when it's in the BEST place in the god damned house... *cries* DAMN YOU CLEARWIRE!

  • I feel your pain.

  • hey, do you use clearwire? If you do then how is the new modem working for you? For us, the signal is even weaker than the last one. Like, we'd have to put it on the roof if we wanna get 1 or two bars, and the same goes for 2 other people I've talked to who use Clearwire.

  • I wish I could snap my fingers and everyone who was willing to pay for this and wanted this type of service could have it...*snap* *snap* *snap*

    Fark! ain't working..

All kidding aside, it' will probably take 10 to 20 years before I see anything remotely like this in my neck of the woods. And it makes me extremely sad.

It sucks when you have the money to pay for something, but it's just not available.

  • I think you should also show how much latency Verizon's FiOS has.

I think you would actually educate some people as not everyone understands about latency. This will also show that you are not just another fake PR company.

  • Europe - Slovenia t-2 net

    FTTH 10/10Mb 14€

    FTTH 20/20Mb 28€

    FTTH 50/50Mb 50€

    FTTH 100/100Mb 100€

    FTTH 1000/1000Mb 1000€

  • man damn usa isps are fuckin up on internet speeds.

  • They've left BPON and starting deploying GPON technology.

  • Lol @ him using MSN explorer

  • Firefox is FTW!

  • did he only get it because he is a verizon employee?
