  • Why would you BOTHER MAKING THIS TOOL ITS ON AMAZON FOR 88 Cents a tool and 2 dollar shipping

FUCKING ALL U ARE CHEAPSKATES LMFAO!!!

  • This is a very nice alternative for us who don't like to be spending a couple bucks plus waiting time on a "official" tool. I ended up using just one of those plastic tooth (of the cd cover) to open the back.

Good thing about that plastic is that as linkfanatic13579 said..it won't mess up the xboxs' plastic holes.

    Thanks KrayonKing!

  • i took my hole xbox apart with 3 penny's pliers and a philips screw driver lol sorry for every one that buys tools lol i didnt need to

  • Is there any alternative way to unscrewing the base plate once you have the case open? I don't the star shaped screwdriver.

  • yes there is since the screws in the machine dont need to be super tight all you need is a little grip so get some needle nose pliers but i used sharped tipped wire clippers. good luck @thecrikster

  • press f13

thumbs up if you looked ☺

  • you know after you undo the slots under the faceplate on the front of your xbox, you can simply rip the whole cover off with no damage at all. if you pull the case up hard enough, the 7 slots in the back will simply come undone due to the pressure. it will make a pretty painful noise when you do this but it works for me everytime with no damage done at all.

  • opening tool costs nothing

  • just wonder probably sound stupid but what is it for for it to not over heat

  • thank you i made it

  • can i open the little holes on the side of the xbox with this tool ?

  • @rideordie2244 -YES

  • You could also use a soldering iron to easily heat the sides you cannot cut. This would be instead of heating a screwdriver.

  • thank

  • instead of heating up a screw driver you can also use a razor blade/exacto knife... if ur good with a blade that is

  • damn i went out and bought me my shit and wtf you made your own im mad lol u got skills tho people hating cuhzz u did it 1st

  • @smurfMC86 - TY , there's no reason to spend cash on a tool you can make yourself. Althought I was NOT the first person to make this tool. It worked for me so well, I figure i would pass it on

  • Its better if u take a razor or knife and cut a line on one of the sides for the long sides and then just bend and it will snap off.

Another great tool is to use a old creditcard and make from it the tool =)

  • @Puppeplupp - I agree a old credit/gift card would have worked better

  • cheap ass

  • Thanks

  • Smarter people do it the easy way, a simple small screwdriver is all you need.

  • Hey dude great idea i regret asking it a question about this like 10 seconds ago now since i know you can make your own ! lighter and screw driver not terribly safe may be safer to bend the plastic over then cut it but anyway 5 stars

  • ths preety gud

  • Thank you

  • why if the plastic breaks...

  • the case I used is plyable(it bends)

  • im gonna make mine outta metal cause i can!

  • nice. lol

  • lol

  • or use wood burner

  • thanks dude !!! Gonna used it for shure , im sick of this screwdrivers fckin up all the plastic at the back >.>

  • Glad I could help you out, I know the feeling of screwdrivers and bent plastic

  • krayon king, "big karma" for you bro!!

i actually had one of those flimsy transparent cd cases collecting dust. i made myself a home made 360 opening tool.

i managed to unlatch every latch that was was holding the 360 case together in the back. no damage done at all whatsover!

i know how the hell you managed to think of this trick but thanks man!!!

  • I saw the tool on Ebay and figured I could make my own rather than spending 20 bucks back then for a tool u can make

  • You can buy a legit tool off ebay for $4 shipped ;3

    That's where I got mine :D

  • back when I made this video they were going for 20 to 25 bucks for the tool.

  • it's a great idea, but by the time i finished this friggen thing i could have 10 xboxes open lol. A for effort though

  • Great idea :):) 5*

  • just use a knife thats what i use

  • Where can I find a DVD case like that?

  • I had some of these lying around, some friends made me some mp3's.

  • Good Idea, especially if you gona do a lot a modding to it.

  • Thanks a lot dude.

  • welcome

  • Dude, just use a screwdriver. that works fine. But , good job on the mod.

  • I understand what your saying about the screwdriver. Some people have to have that tool & dont want to use a screwdriver. I just provided a alternative rather than paying some company 15 to 20 bucks for a TOOL u can make yourself. Thanks for the comment !!!

  • A screw driver can show sings of you opening it... if it stops working and you want microsoft to fix it they wont if they see you tried to open it.

  • yup, thats what happened to me. Now I have to buy another one. :(

  • @linkfanatic13579 i dont get it...

  • @linkfanatic13579

except you have to remove a sticker at some point so it is kind of obvious. I used the file part of a pair of nail clippers and edged a matchstick in the gap to keep the case from closing as I worked along.

  • Krayonking, this is sweet. i love your movie :D

Im going to make this right NOW ! :P

  • Sounds good

i was gonna buy a unlocking kit but this saved me tons of money :D

  • No need to thank me bro, just glad a simple idea could help someone out.

  • this makes me want to design one so bad. I've got so many great ideas. But allas I lack a workshop to do it.

  • I didnt have a workshop, my workshop was the kitchen table

  • hey why don't you use a knife to cut the plastic you tool!!!!!!!!!!!

  • A knife will just shatter the case idiot.

  • use a razor blade then

  • Go ahead use a knife imbecile. Heating up a piece of metal and cutting it that way was easier and safer on the fingers!

  • how do you use it???

  • if u need to know how to use this tool, then you need to just go watch another youtube video

  • good job man! i'll make one of these very soon!
