many in the online... well for lack of a better word i'll say "community" have a very difficult time understanding satire. i think it stems from our failure of an educational system that we don't read great satirists like shakespeare, and the movies/tv shows we value are created for people with 8 second memories. satire is slightly more complex, but that's always the difference between art and pure entertainment, art has meaning. it takes brain activity to enjoy.
