  • What guitar Hamilton plays here?

  • the fucking bass. AHHHHH sick as hell

  • hA ... STILL COFFIN

  • Love this band...I seriously cant get enough of their sound. I love Meantime and they just seem to have gotten better over the years.

  • god this song fucking rocks

  • stanier = snare

  • that Snare sound is AMAZING!!.. always liked John stainer's style.

  • @mindcorrecting Especially at 1:48.

  • snare drum heaven!

  • John Stanier is amazing

  • great rhytmsection

  • helmet dress so simple. but dude, listen to their sound, so loud and heavy.

  • Even better than the version of the album.

  • Clebus, thanks to you we can enjoy quality vids and fucking go mental over HELMET...thanks man...keep em coming..cheers

  • thanx dude !!!

thats one of their best tunes

    helmet rules

  • Your Clip perfect VOLUME!!! Thanks

  • So good to see this, thank you :)

  • Taoist, your quite right.

Betty was released in 1994, think I confused Betty's release with the 1992 of Meantime. Besides, nobody likes a trainspotter ;-)

  • Hey dude you should change your description - 'Betty' was in fact 1994 (NOT 1992)

  • FYI - "Betty" was released in 1994.

  • Helmet = intelligence + hard rocking

it also equals possibly the best and most underrated metal band to come out of the 90s.

  • That snare sounds so bloody good!!!!

  • love that piccolo snare

  • shit it sounds awesome, but man it's not a piccolo although it sounds like one... well actually it doesn't look like one, from here looks like a 6'' tall snare or even more, but cannot see if it's lower than 14'' in diameter... cannot tell to be honest.

  • i like betty more than meantime

  • Second that. Unsung is still one of my favorite all time songs, but Betty is the better album IMO

  • no the solo is nice lol, nothing more is needed.

By the way Page have a master degree in jazz

this solos are just what he thinks helmet songs needs, and in fact they don't need solos anyway

You can't say page solos aren't melodic, it's like saying Larry Lalonde solos from Primus are not melodic, they really are, they are weird and twisted but that's melodic. Not melodious, but melodic.

and Stanier is god, what a groove :-D

  • the composition of this song is incredible.

intro, verse, interlude, verse, interlude, solo, middle 8, intro pt.2 outro/verse.

    A favorite.

  • it looks like an Ibanez Talman. I prefer him using ESP's though 'cuss the sound of his guitar using here sounds a little bit thin.

  • Stanier once again showing his complete supremecy over ever rock drummer minus Bonham and Pert

  • I think Brain Mantia have a very good groove as well for a rock drummer.

look for Shake Hands With Beef with Primus KfVKkEN7CsU

  • Where's the pooch?

  • What's Page's guitar in this vid?

  • a G&L SC-1, an acquired taste for anybody related to Band of Susans (he played with them before forming Helmet)

  • cool song, helmet solos have never had a melodic sense...once i read that page considered that solos was like a fashion thing...so i can see he really didn't give a shit about solos...

  • By the way, so weird to see Page with hair!

  • I never actually liked this song, until I saw this video. So cool! Thanks for it. I found the guitar solo cool: I read that Page's idea was to make this song feel untuned.

  • Yeah, Helmet rules, great song but solo was horrible!.

  • This is so good song but that solo was horrible

  • These guys rule. Really good riffs from this CD.
