  • The charade 1977 was my first car, the best ever.

  • impresive.

  • i am not sure why you did it, but good job anyway

  • u have money to spend dude

  • I own a G11 model Charade CXL 1984. It has the high roof. It was built by the then Alfa Romeo SA (South Africa) and painted Alfa metallic gold. I hope to upload a video soon! It's in good shape, but do need some work ( has some rust ) but my dream also is to restore it to 'AS NEW CONDITION' . . . But with the recession money is a bit tight. Anyway, great video!

  • I have a simular dream of a complete restoration of a Daihatsu Charade, but of a G100 model. I have had five or six of them Charade's G100, as well as one Cuore '99. Currently I own this Cuore and one G100. The Charade has a 1.3 16v 4cyl HC-E engine but my dream is to restore it completely and put an already restored 1.0 12v 3cyl Turbo engine into it. I have a lot of work ahead for next years to come..

Nice job on the video, though the text message's could possibly appear for a longer period.

  • Wow very nice job and very well defined through the video. I own another model, G100 but have known this G10 quite well. One of the most enthusiasing videos I've seen on youtube. I want my car to be done like this after watching yours :-)

  • Man you brought a lot of memory back to my life, I remember when my aunt bought one of these way back in the seventies, it had a metalic blue and the sound of that car's engine still linger in my memory..

  • gotta give you credit for restoring what was once a budget car. By no means a classic but definately better on the road than off!

  • emmmm... i see you video and... nice bitch!!!

i like this car, is a machine no?

thanks for the video and for this nice Charade

    bye

  • Great job mate!!!!!!

  • amazing work i love this car, i am from chile,

  • You should have had the chassis hot dipped galvanised, later forever then, dont go much on the welding shown at the begining.

  • Thank you. To understand why I have restored exact this car. I am a big Daihatsu Fan since 1993, after a period of time I would like to have the oldest possible (available) car from "my" brand. Espacially in europe most people only restore cars you can sell very easy such as MG, Mercedes, Porsche's and so on, a Charade G10 you never can sell for more money as you have spend to. I love him and I restore it to have fun with it, only for me. It is not galvanised the chassis only the most screws.

  • Some people have their fantasies, sick or otherwise,I could think of many a car that the money could have been better spent on,but each to their own, maybe worth a fortune in 15 years time, you never know, people probably thought the same about old ford model T's etc, when it becomes really rare as all the others have been scrapped.

  • good restoration, pity the car you have chosen to restore is the most souless, uninteresting and bland japanese crap ever made, painting it in an awful dark colour has exagerrated this, no offence, just not my cup of tea, well done though...

  • Hey, sehr gute arbeit =) wunderschönes auto hast da und ich finds toll das sowas in wien herumfährt =) viel spass mit dem ding =)

    bye

  • Great to see someone else with an appreciation for Daihatsu's time honoured 3 cylinder. Wonderful restoration. I hope in ten years from now Ill be in a similar position to restore a G100 3 door.

  • Congratulations!!!!!!! You did great job!!!
