usually not. its a different engine type. its just the exhaust and coincidence

Indeed, it's the engine that makes the sound. The exhaust system just changes the volume, and the manifold is what changes the note. The cossies are completely differnt to RST's... VERY differnt sounding imo. I mean, they are a 16 valve not 8, and 8 valves are always deeper sounding, although RST's have more of a drone when under load, where as a good straight through system on a sierra will be higher pitched and more trumpet like, if you know what i mean. Hard to describe exhaust
