  • Great video. I'm training on mushroom (currently doing half circles with good form and tiger paws on) but the problem is sometimes my hands slip, but remain on it. I bring the mushroom outside and train so it's not a question on sweat on the fingers. How can I avoid this?

  • amazing tutorial best i've seen thank you so much helped me alot.

  • CAN YOU DO CIRCLES ON THE FLOOR?

    AMAZING VIDEO.

  • hi...i feel some pain in the external part of the elbow after a great session of circles? is normal this thing?

  • AWSOME! THX!

  • Is it possible to learn these on floor? (without mushroom)

  • Thank you, Thank you, Thaaank youuuuu!

  • Thanks!

  • OUTSTANDING -- THANKS

  • Great tutorial; I especially liked the conditioning.

I've been told that circles should be taught with a counter turn, so that your 1/2 circle should be a "two-handed side support".

    Have you come across this?

    What are your thoughts?

  • The hips definitely turn around the 1/2 circle position. You could say the hips lead the first half, the heels lead the second half of the circle; so what you'll see is a sort of an arch position in the body with the hips turning causing the heels to drive around the second half.

  • I think the idea behind saying a "two-handed side support" is to over accent the need to turn the hips and drive the heels. In my opinion, the best idea is to keep the progressions simple enough the kids can understand them. You will see that they naturally have to turn the hips to end up in the 3/4 circle shape. As they begin to swing you'll notice them turning their hips near the right time.

I am usually more worried about the tight body position than the hip turn at this stage in the game.

  • Really helpful thanks!

  • Lets give credit to the kid too, for the great demonstration. Good job kid! and offcourse, good job coach for this great video.
