How old is this video, really? Windows 7 is pretty great. A great gaming PC can be had for about the same price of a, well, Mac that is made for little more than web surfing.
I remember when my dad brought home our first PC. It was a Tandy 386sx 25MHz with 2MB of RAM and Windows 3.1. Wow, things have changed since 1995! If it weren't for that old PC and a screw driver, I would have never started my IT Company. I love Technology!
@TwiztedAnimator Not wanting to brag, but my first PC had a 16-bit processor (speeds weren't quoted in those days), 64Kb (yes, that's kilobytes) and a 10Mb hard disk. The operating system was called CP/M.
he still takes issue with the word "nerd", yet he defines it...but hey, he is rich, smart etc. obviously being a nerd is a bonus if done right, such words really only matter when you are in high school anyways...its the nerds who built the modern world and are rich today.
Aliendear, what are you talking about? Everything Bill Gates described unfolding happened in a mere five years from the making of that video, and the journalist who made this piece could hardly imagine the sort of world we live in today and the applications for the technology that Bill Gates and tech enthusiasts imagined, inlcuding the pinacle of modern technology: smartphones - touch sensitive phones in our pockets that allow us to access any digital information in the entire world.
Great video. I like everything Microsoft & Everything Computers. It has been one of the most exciting times of my life. I have liked everything Apple also. I only wish things were better. This technology future did not come up perfect, as it should have. It was the fault of people making bad decisions in the late 1960's and early 1970's that affected (for me) the future of the world. If it had been just a little bit better, little better decisions, it would be perfect. Someone stole the future.
The weld?
Bill Gates wants to run the weld.
